Lucky Seafood Restaurant: An Awesome, Local Seafood Paradise!
My visit to Lucky Seafood Restaurant was absolutely awesome, delivering a truly memorable dining experience! This place is impressive from the moment you arrive—it’s a huge seafood restaurant with a very high roof, feeling as spacious and airy as an indoor basketball court, which keeps it wonderfully cooling inside with open air. The best part? Parking is so easy right at the restaurant's front.
The menu is straightforward and easy to understand, and you can see the fresh, live seafood in tanks right next to the cashier, a testament to their quality. The food is served incredibly fast, and the portions are huge and generous for the price.
The highlights were endless! The kong poh mantis shrimp was so huge and delicious. The shark meat soup was a surprising standout—it was slightly spicy and sour, almost like a clear, white tom yum soup, and was one of the best and most refreshing soups I’ve ever had. The brinjal stir-fried with chicken meat was a masterclass in cooking; normally, this dish is hard to get right, often undercooked or too oily, but this version was so flavorful and paired perfectly with rice. The fresh sea prawns, simply steamed with egg, were incredibly fresh and good. And the lala clams, which were thick and juicy, steamed with wine, were so good we finished every last drop of the soup. For a group of four, our entire meal came to only RM133! That’s an unbelievable deal for such fresh, generous portions and robust, flavorful tastes that I love.
This is a place where the locals go, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic seafood feast. I also noticed a sign saying "no pork," so while I can't confirm if it's officially Muslim-friendly, it’s worth checking if you have...

We discovered this underrated, family-run spot — Restaurant Lucky Seafood, tucked away by the jetty — and it turned out to be an amazing find!
The seafood is all day-catch fresh, and we were lucky to arrive just as mantis shrimp came in straight from the boats. The owner himself does the cooking, and you can really taste the care and experience in every dish. It’s simple, home-style cooking that brings out the best in the seafood.
We ordered:
Clams Mantis shrimp (椒盐 style – crispy, flavorful, and a must-try!) Flower crab Fish slices Seasonal greens Every dish was spot on — fresh, clean, and deeply satisfying. The 椒盐 mantis shrimp was the highlight for us, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked.
It was quite hot in the afternoon, especially since seating is mostly outdoors, but aside from that, everything was perfect. If you're into authentic, no-frills seafood cooked with heart, this hidden gem is absolutely worth...

Teochew steam siakap & steam egg with prawn not as fresh as expected. Prawns are smaller, fish flesh is not smooth. Turns out potato leaves is the best of all.
It was really warm in the restaurant although the lady boss switch on fan for us. We are not able to eat peacefully as there were too many flies. The staff did nothing about it. The lady boss saw this when we almost finish our meal. She brought us a flies repellent fan 😢
