The restaurant hidden behind a residential house, need a short 100 walk in.

The restaurant is maintaining well on the restaurant, clean and many instagramable spots.

We had 4 dishes ~ steam prawn, salted fish brinjal, salted egg fried squid and gam heong crab.

We had a little unpleasant experience on crab. The waiter shared 2 prices of crab, RM90/kg for medium size (was told about 400g to 500g per crab) and RM120/kg for large size (700g to 800g) per crab. So we ordered 2 RM120/kg crab, reckoned since we made a trip, might as well go for bigger size.

But when the dish were served, we noticed the sizes were not large at all, so we decided to clarify, but the explanation with no logic as the owner was telling us those crabs weighted 400g to 500g, any size more then 500g is consider large and we are lucky able to have that size. We told him we were told large cars at 700g to 800g, and the owner continued with bla bla bla.... we were about to give up because the clarification will kill my appetite. Right before we ended the "clarification", I spotted 1 big claw and 2 small claws, which doesn't make sense at all. And at that point, the owner realized they were at fault and checked with the kitchen and came out blaming the kitchen made a mistake left out a claw...... so they prepared the left out claw to us.

I never did any check before in any restaurant, the first time I did this simply because the waitress were recommending choices of size. Imagine if we were there in a big group, when food is serve and no one is going to make any check. We were charged RM120/kg for big crab but we ended had 1 big and 1 medium which we truly think it was not ethical.

Do I recommend this restaurant? Taste is good. 4 dishes for 3 we spent around RM215. If you and group decide to give a try, make sure you have them show you what are the difference of RM90/kg & RM120/kg sizes look like and check when food is...

I usually try to go to Bagan Tengkorak for seafood but recently we went there and the shop was closed.

Hence, I googled seafood restaurants at Tg Karang and read this place has good reviews and decided to go.

We ordered 2 types of crabs ie Mud Crab and the blue flower crabs to try as they are all alive according to the waiter that served us.

We prefer the Mud Crab as the meat is better compared to Flower crab which the meat is coarse.

We also ordered their razor clam, fried squid, and their mihun and true to the reviews they were all delicious and the price is also very reasonable.i checked the view, it faces the west so hopefully i will return with my family for the foods and admire the sunset.

Today, Sat, 14th June 2025 took my aunty and my daughter to try lala mihun, steamed grouper fish, mantis prawn, prawns and we bought some sotong and asked them to make sotong steamed with lime and charge us at RM20. Today service was okay, as usual the Chinese workers are always sour face as if you came for begging. But what makes me upset was the fish was overcooked since the fish is small they never adjust the timing. When I told the mam with spec he discouraged me for changing it as my girl likes fish so we agreed. But when the bill came I was a bit upset that they didn’t offer some discount and the same man was very rude to me, he told me just go to the counter, I thought he is the owner but found out they are just the workers. But the cashier was kind enough to give me some discounts! There are many other seafoods at Tg Karang I think I won’t return again for that kind...

Road way to restaurant congested very limited parking space. Medium size food portion looked like small size. Ordered dishes n within 15mins food arrived my table.(food must hv been pre cooked n served later with pre heated food). Food was not hot & some of the dishes were cold. Cerial prawns - Not fresh very hard n not chewy. Fried squid - not fresh, cold, not crispy, rubbery. Rice some portions very dry n hard. Thai style tahu - not fresh n limited salads toppings. Assam fish - dish was cold, gravy very sweet. Shrimp eggs - very salty. Overall I'll give 2 star for food quality & taste. I've eaten best seafood in m'sia but for this trip totally disappointed.
