Pantry — Restaurant in Selangor

For a 5-star hotel this is one of the worst I’ve experienced before. To be clear I didn’t stay at the property. I made a detour to come here for a coffee before set off for another destination to check out this property whether I will decide to stay for a vacation next. First, it was weird when I ordered filter coffee from The Pantry and ask for milk on the side and the staff said no…I asked why? She said filter coffee only black coffee, no milk. This literally blows my mind!!!….please educate yourself and the staff that there is option to serve filter or dark coffee with milk in Europe and US…even for expresso some Italian people will add cream into it. Second, it took more than 20mins to get two latte and a milo to be served and we are the only people in the cafe when ordered and paid. Third the latte was badly made with milk was overly done….even I can make much better latte at home myself!!…I have paid over RM60 for these worst made drinks. I don’t mind to pay extra for a good cup of coffee but this is very disappointing. Be able to get this wrong for a coffee at a 5-star hotel, I can’t imagine how bad other things are. I will not recommend to come here to get any drinks at all! You’re just paying...

The pantry is located at the lobby area, it's an open area facing the sea, so you get to enjoy the lovely sea breeze while having your high tea set. The high tea set consist of a few slices of cakes, scones and savoury open-face sandwiches, as well as two pots of tea/coffee. You may select two different drinks!

The high tea set, albeit simple, was decent. Cakes were fresh (read: not dry! Actually the cakes were quite moist), and was not too sweet. The open face sandwich was fresh as well (read: the bread was not dry).
