First time here and we had pretty high expectations for this restaurant (even made a detour from our trip back to KL) because we saw that it was rated a 4.6 on Google.
When we first entered, we realised the place was relatively stuffy and hot. We were fine with that because we thought that the food would make up for the discomfort (SPOILER ALERT: It did not).
We had quite a number of dishes, and most of them were rather disappointing. The butter chicken DID NOT taste like butter chicken at all and had a very strong garlic taste. The brew coffee was undrinkable, and didn’t even taste like coffee. It was white and if you asked someone else to guess what it was they definitely wouldn’t have guessed it was coffee. The chapatis and chicken masala were average at best and the mango lassi was pretty sour and had some clumps in it.
Personally, I have never ever given a 1 star review before because I’ve never felt the need to, but the unjustified inflated rating on this restaurant has prompted me to. I don’t mean to be mean but this is by far the WORST Indian food I’ve had and I just wanted to put it out there so that viewers of this post would know...
Read moreAccidentally found this little gem of a shop on my way to Rawang. The restaurant serves authentic Punjabi food. The ladoos and gulab jamuns are out of this world. Really delicious. I had chapattis with dhall and potatoes. Was really tasty, the chapattis are small, crispy, coated with ghee; and you can eat about 2 to 3 chapattis, without feeling full. The chapattis im used to eating in KL are all hard and dry, the dhall is watery, this is why i don't eat chappattis in restaurants. They also serve briyani, their chicken briyani is their best seller. They also have other dishes like mee goreng, nasi lemak etc. The masala tea is so satisfying. This restaurant is run by a family, the food is tastefully and carefully prepared home cooked dishes. There is ample parking space and the ambience is cosy and very comfortable. It feels like dining at home. The restaurant owner Mr Sunvyn is very warm and hospitable. If at all you are driving down to Rawang, along the highway before reaching Rawang Town, do stop by this restaurant, it will truly be a pleasant experience. The price is really very, very reasonable. Amazing, home cooked meals for a steal. Don't...
Read moreI visited the place after seeing the review. Very homely and 'cincai' kind of service and environment. Clean okay yes acceptable. Food most arrived are VERY SALTY... However they exchange the side. Tosai nice, chutney and the potato masala salty.. Nasi lemak non vege sambal very nice the vege sambal not nice. Panner dish salty but we like how many time to change.. All their tea nice.. Request always for no sugar.. Help yourself for sugar. They really need to improve lot. Even the smoke start filling the dine in area whenever they start cooking. I am not sure if it seems to happen only during out visit as sometime technical fault could happen. There was an aunty, she was so energetically...
