Reason to give 2 stars rating because my overall experience here in terms of services is not consistent at all.
I came to KHB twice for this outlet. Once during the noon time and once during the night time.
Noon time I was served by a bald head manager whoās good. Night time is totally different experience. I came back because the food is good. Second experience-disaster.
Greet & Meet. Around 17:45 starting with the queue. A sign saying āplease wait to be seated ā. No one at the counter. Waited around 5 minutes someone came.
Seating. When we are seated at the table, it wasnāt properly clean and there are flies. Yes⦠flies.
Environment & ambience. At night the centralize aircond not operating, everything rely on portable aircond. Around 19:00 place turn dark, canāt really see my food anymore.
Service. When all the other dishes was served. My meal was the last to arrived. Waited 30 minutes, called the night shift manager ask for my āpan seared seabassā. Manager said āsorry I think there is a mistake here, the seabass not supposed to be able to order via the app, this menu should be for TRX branch as we donāt serve it here.ā
I was in shock⦠I even demonstrated I am able to order the seabass from the app and told him that before we sit down should tell us what dishes you runout and not available to order. The manager says: āIām sorry this menu is not available here, idk why the app allow you to order this dishā.
Here comes the drama a waiter standing behind the manager and said, the seabass is here. He stood there and stunted. Myself as a customer was likeā¦āis this a joke?ā You telling me this is not available here and your seabass suddenly arrive.
This shows how undertrained your staff is and how competent is your manager.
Food. Pan seared seabass become pan fried seabass. Pizza feels like factory made. Classic steak, carbonara & aglio olio are good.
Language. Served by your waitress I ask in English replied in Malay. Fine. Second time another waiter, I speak in Malay replied me in English. Your staff is not well trained and inconsistent. You can learn from your nearby tenant āDolly Dim Sumā who have better customer service than you are.
Overall experience, I am not coming back until your restaurant are fully operational and your staffs are...

Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was far from pleasant. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a long, barely moving queue. To our dismay, we noticed that many tables inside were empty, yet the service was painfully slow.
After finally finding our own table, we ordered five American Big Breakfasts, one nasi lemak, and six beverages. When the food arrived, it looked promising, but thatās where the positives ended.
The American Big Breakfast was a disaster: The bread was rock hard & taste bad The baked beans tasted like they were spiced with Indian curry (a far cry from the usual American style). The poached eggs were poorly prepared. The duck & chicken was bland and lacked flavor.
Every dish failed to meet expectations, and for a total bill of RM350.00, we expected much better. While the pricing is reasonable for high-quality food, the below average taste and experience made it feel like a waste.
In conclusion, I wouldnāt recommend Kenny Hills Bakers at Elmina Lakeside at this point. The quality of both the food and the service needs significant improvement.
