Introduction: I recently visited Sushi Zanmai at the Setia City Mall branch and wanted to share my experience with others. While the food was satisfactory, the hot environment significantly impacted our dining experience.

Description: Upon entering the restaurant, we immediately noticed the uncomfortable heat in the dining area. The sunny weather outside only exacerbated the problem. Despite our request to the waiter to switch on the air conditioning or adjust the temperature, we were informed that the air conditioning was controlled by Setia City Mall management, not the restaurant. This lack of control over the environment made our dining experience unpleasant and left us feeling overheated throughout our meal.

Food Quality and Service: Apart from the temperature issue, I must mention that the food quality at Sushi Zanmai was satisfactory. The ingredients were fresh, and the dishes were well-prepared. The service provided by the staff was attentive and prompt, which added to the positive aspects of our visit.

Suggestions for Improvement: However, I strongly urge Sushi Zanmai management to address the issue of temperature control in their dining area. It is essential for customers to feel comfortable while enjoying their meal, especially during hot weather conditions. I recommend that the restaurant proactively communicate with Setia City Mall management to ensure better temperature regulation within the premises.

Portions are ridiculously small compared to last time and prices have been hiked up considerably. Quality of food has definitely dropped. Ordered this spicy tempura roll thing and although the taste was not bad, the sushi rice felt so mushy and the texture of the whole thing was just soft and mush. Udon portion is quite small with limited veggies and the tempura has the portion size of an infant rabbit. My tempura lady finger was smaller than my pinky finger. At least it was crispy I guess.. The taste of the udon is standard, nothing special, I doubt they were trying very hard anyways. The drinks are ridiculously expensive, charging RM 10+ for ice chocolate with heavy emphasis on the ice 😒. Also tried a bit of the spicy seafood ramen. The texture of the ramen was pretty decent but it had that yellow mee aftertaste which makes your teeth gritty after you eat it, leaving a nasty feeling in your mouth. My friend had a salmon sashimi donburi and the slices of salmon were so thin. The salmon sashimi as a separate dish were fairly thick but I wouldn't say it was the freshest. Customer service : 1/5 They present foods to those come later than us. When we in the midst looking for help / query, the "not so thin" female staff scream at the cashier area "WAIT AWHILE LA!!!!" WTH, this is the first macam rude mia respond from a service staff? The boss / manager never ajar them how to give proper response?

After itu staff come, she asked, "any foods yet served??" Walau, we have 6 people, only 1 was served, the balance 5 people just sit there and no order? Can't read the order bill or Mata got problem didn't see the balance 5 people which macam hungry ghost and keep waiting to be feed ??

Foods : 2/5 Was there for 50 minutes, and really can be hungry ghost 👻, give us eat dragon meat also become tasteless.

Aircond : 1/5 Aiyo.... Macam customer can't afford to pay. Their Aircond macam talak buka. Sure hot die you!!! Guess what? We are sweating while waiting for the foods (after 50 minutes just sitting there).
