Real review 12th May: Despite seeing two extreme reviews of 5.0 & 1.0 , I came to try it with low expectations. As you don't have much choice for Jap food in Setia. Turns out the bad reviews were right. The prices are crazy—it's more expensive than Shinzushi but tastes worse than Sushi Mentai. One piece of salmon sushi is RM9.90, 1 pcs tamago mentai is RM6.90, and a basic unagi spider roll is RM34.90. The food is artistically presented. The dishes are what one would normally expect but there are some beautiful surprises. There are fresh oysters, sea urchin, salmon belly, scallop sashimi, even a maguro platter. There was also okonomiyaki. I was blown away by the choices . Nice little place for beer on first sight. After looking at their thick menu, we decided to go with a few simple dishes.

Verdict was the blue fin tuna is slightly fatty and firm. Same goes with the salmon sashimi. Both sashimi dishes blew us away for Malaysian standard. Never tried actual blue fin tuna so I can’t compare. By far this is the best one I had.

The Chawanmushi is a delight. Flavourful, smooth and a hides a piece of hidden treasure, prawn.
