Unpleasant experience. Like the other review suggests, the staffs were poorly trained and the service is really bad.
(1) We were sitting at the bar by the windows, there’s a lot of small bugs & flies flying around and i’ve been getting rid of them with my hand for about 7-8 times already, which is really annoying.
(2) Usually i don’t mind waiting, but i really hate when i’m just there waiting for nothing/ don’t know what i’m waiting for. The chicken chop took about 20+ mins to arrived, and i thought my pasta would be next. Mine took nearly 40mins to reach and my bf almost finished his.
If you know the food’s gonna take long, just inform us before hand and give us a heads up and that would be great. At least we know how long to expect. What pissed me of even more is that when i took my receipt to the staff and ask her to check for me, my food was immediately served within 2-3mins……does that mean my food was laying in kitchen all this time? Or? I’m not sure, those are just my guesses.
(3) We request for no spicy for my pasta at the counter and the staff said ok, because if they are unable to remove the spice we will change our order to something else. But then, when i eat it, its still spicy. Fyi, i have low spicy tolerance & my bf loves spicy, but even my bf thinks the pasta is spicy as well.
(4) Drink spillage incident: The staff accidentally spilled some of the hot lemon tea on the table, don’t bother to say sorry & left. She didnt come back to wipe the table or the chair either. I used to work in a cafe before and if i did this i would be scolded by my...
Read moreLove the tone of the place. It sure has a coffee vibe to it. We had brunch here and the food was really good. The chicken chop is one of the best we had so far. The bolognaise absolutely delicious. The toast with egg is perfect. The kids definitely wanna go there again and we definitely will.
October 2024 1.45pm We came back several times after our first and it’s usually on days that werent busy. This time we came back on a Sunday and the place was full 😅. Congratulations! 👍 The staffs were quick to response and told us to have a wait as most diners were already finishing. They brought a nice large camping type chair (can sit two adults) that were pretty comfortable. While waiting they gave us the menu.
This time, the adults had pesto pasta & aglio olio. Special mention that the aglio olio was super tasty as the olive oil was infused with fragrant prawn and mushroom. Yummy! We also had black forest cake and walnut cake. Quite good. Kids loved their usual; bolognaise and chicken chop. Overall they all tasted good 👍 My mocha also was satisfactory. Will order again next time.
Service was excellent! They were attentive and knows how to interact with us to get our feedback...
Read moreThe place is very cosy, warm, and welcoming. The food is delicious and suits the Malaysian palate well, as it’s not too sweet, oily, or salty. The service is sincere too—one of the staff even asked me how the food was and if there was anything to improve, which I truly appreciated.
What really makes this place stand out is the owner’s genuine care for customers’ well-being. It’s the small but thoughtful touches that make me love this place even more—they even provide sanitary pads, mouthwash, and dental floss so customers can freshen up after a meal. Not many restaurants go the extra mile like this! Even the toilet has a funny poster reminding people to keep it clean, which adds a lighthearted touch.
Overall, I would definitely come here again. It’s kid-friendly, family-friendly, couple-friendly for a quiet and relaxing spot, solo-outing friendly, and even a perfect environment for studying. There is even a playroom for kids and perfect insta photo taking spot. Aesthetically pleasing. To the CHILL Up CAFE family, keep up the wonderful job. The world needs more business like...
