My husband & I have eaten at Ho Boh (the Taman Kinrara branch) several times and we did enjoyed our meals thus far. Yesterday I brought a friend there for dinner...but unfortunately the vegetable soup ("yin choy tong") that we ordered did not turned out as we expected it.

So we checked with the manager and she claimed that was the 'correct way to cook it'. I have ordered that particular soup before so I knew something is not quite right. My friend also felt the same way as she has ordered that same soup at the Bdr Puteri branch before.

Again the manager confirmed that at her branch that is how it is cook! Anyway since both my friend & I really like this soup, we accepted the manager explanation and gave her the benefit of the doubt.

This morning my sleep was disturbed by an uncomfortable stomach ...and has diarrhea like symptoms but it was not so serious.

But later part of this morning my friend call to check whether I was "ok" caused she had severe food poisoning and had just came back from the clinic.

I was shocked ....and very disappointed with this restaurant..we suspected it could be the vegetable soup. Cause the only different was my friend ate up the whole egg in the soup which I did not touch.

Hmm.....

Very disappointing ....now we have to look...

Quality has gone downhill. Dishes that stated in the vegetarian section contain non-vege ingredient. I had a tomato kailan from the vegetarian section, come with lot of shrimps and garlic, it didn't state on the menu that it contained shrimp(although it is within vegetarain menu), so I asked, and the reply from the shop was, "Just a little bit of shrimp, nevermind one, take la. " I lived in this area my whole life and visited the restaurant multiple times, but recent years, for unknown reason, it has gone way downhill. Not worth to visit, especially for...

Food: Portion is too small for the price RM13.50 for one lei cha(soup rice n vegetable). My lunch ended up RM17.40 as I added one herbal tea, yet my tummy is feeling not even half full. Taste: I think soup is little diluted. Not as thick as other shops. Environment: very clean n quiet as I m the only customer in the whole shop at 1pm on Friday. The lady boss also simply collect money from customer, when I questioned why so costly then only found out that miscalculated as mine is white rice not brown rice. How can she miscalculate when I was the only customer...
