I was pleasantly surprised by the warm and inviting atmosphere that greeted me right from the start. The friendly staff, particularly a gentleman named Davinder (forgive me if I got the name wrong), made it a welcoming environment that truly set the tone for my meal.
I started off with the Punjabi chai and ginger chai, both of which were absolutely delightful. The flavors were rich and aromatic, making for a perfect companion to the evening. The warmth of the ginger chai was particularly comforting, adding a lovely spice that made it a standout choice.
Next, I indulged in the onion pakora – a dish that can often be hit or miss at restaurants. I’m pleased to report that Anand Darbar version was expertly done. The pakoras were light, crispy, and far less oily than many I've encountered, which made them a guilt-free treat. Accompanied by a delicious mint chutney, they were an irresistible addition to the meal.
For dessert, I opted for the butter cake, which lived up to its name brilliantly. Truly, it was as smooth as butter, offering a melt-in-your-mouth experience that was both indulgent and satisfying. Each bite left me wanting more!
Overall, my experience at Anand Darbar was incredibly positive, and I am already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of their menu. The combination of friendly service, delicious food, and cozy ambiance made for an enjoyable dining experience. I can’t wait to return to savor other...
Read moreThis restaurant is truly a hidden gem—underrated and easily the best I’ve visited since 2025. They offer a wide variety of vegetarian options, including some very economical sets that are perfect for any budget. Their paneer dishes are a must-try, it’s just as delicious as the ones I’ve had in Bangsar but at a much more reasonable price.
The drinks were equally impressive. We ordered the ginger tea and sukku malli with fresh milk, and both were flavorful and authentic, everyone that visit should at least try one of their drinks.
The service was outstanding. The staff were attentive, patient, and helpful, taking the time to explain unfamiliar dishes to us in detail. Despite us changing our order a few times, they never showed any impatience, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
The ambiance was another highlight. The restaurant was clean, with beautiful Indian-inspired decor and a subtle, soothing fragrance.
Considering the excellent taste, quality, and environment, the price is incredibly reasonable. I’m happy that I no longer have to travel all the way to Bangsar to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine, as this...

The Chicken Tikka Masala was perfectly cooked, and the spices were well-balanced, giving it that wonderful kick without being overwhelming. The naan was soft and fresh, the best I’ve had in a long time. Also, their vegetarian options are excellent, with a lot of care put into every dish. Don’t miss their Paneer Butter Masala!
