Xiao Lao Hu Kopitiam 小老虎咖啡店 — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

I visited this restaurant after seeing so many high reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.

The food had almost no flavor

it tasted bland and unseasoned. The rice was overcooked and mushy, which made the entire dish even less enjoyable. On top of that, the service was noticeably slow, even though it wasn’t very crowded at the time.

Honestly, there was nothing I could truly appreciate about the meal. I’m sharing this review not to be negative, but to offer a different and honest perspective that might reflect what others have also experienced but not mentioned.

There are definitely better dining options out there. I do hope the restaurant improves, especially with taste and basic food quality. If they can bring the standard up to at least average, I’d be happy to return and recommend it...

Its and air conditioned kopitiam, nothing wrong with the service and location. But the food its just not up to standard.

We start with the mee siam, tasted as normal bihun goreng, the accompanying pork had the portion and texture, but it was salty beyond belief, very very hard to have it even with the noodles.

Next up, The big breakfast, for the price they were charging, portioning is extremely little. Besides the omelette and sausage, every other element were bad. Hash(salty), croissant (hard like rock) , bacon (tasteless) tomatoes (salty to the brim). Who actually put salt & pepper on chery tomatoes?

Thirdly, toast was exceptional and teh too. It wasn't enough to leave a positive impression tho.

Came here with a huge group of friends and ordered in stages (cos we msian timing) 🥹 the staff were super friendly! Fast too.

Great environment, it was so great that the food came before you noticed time has passed. The ayam goreng berempah is legendary with mee siam. Loved it so much we ordered another side of Babi goreng berempah. Whatever you ordered for main you must get one of that or you’ll be missing out 🫣

The menu has great selection, very diverse and fixes up ur kopitiam craving with superb prices. Will be back to try wantan mee
