I usually don’t write long reviews and I thought of rating 3 stars instead… here goes:
Ambience is great, I was there for dinner on a Saturday around 6pm+, ate for 2 hours and it still wasn’t crowded. I had the standard buffet set which is about 40+ with tax (premium set comes with seafood).
The good part about the buffet was the selection and it’s refillable. The lala and meat were fresh. For the meat, they have pork belly, pork shoulder and chicken. Both marinated with black pepper or without. In my opinion, I didn’t fancy the black pepper marination.
I opted for the plain soup base and gosh, it’s so plain it’s almost as plain as water. Fine, it’s ok, maybe taste will come after we start putting food in. Still bland sobs. Grilling the meat was a torture, especially pork belly without marination. It took ages to get it charred. It was so fatty. Waiting for it to get all nice and charred made me lost my appetite. I’m not sure why it took so long to grill in this place whereas I’ve went to other mookata places, it was fairly quick. The soup boils quickly here tho, just the grilling takes too long.
The sauces… were sad. The thai chili sauce was watery and not tasty at all. You can only feel a slight tingly spicy feeling but that’s all. Where’s the flavor? Their green chili, don’t fancy it at all. I love mookata for the enjoyment of taking my grilled meat and dipping it in good Thai chili sauce. Imagine my dismay when the sauce wasn’t good. 😭
Okay all the sadness aside, why I decided to go with 4 stars is because I because I believe there’s potential with this place. The food is fresh, they have great selection, clean great place, staff were very attentive and helpful. I would definitely enjoy it better if they can improve on their sauces and figure out how pork belly can grill faster (idk is it the heat or is it the slice too thick).
All in all, it’s worth a try and I hope the best...

Well ventilated and don't feel smoky. Maybe due to not using charcoal grill. Atleast the grill has wind guard to protect so the pot is always hot. Nice ambient and music
Service 5/5 Food comes fast when ordered. Servers always checking and clearing empty plates.
Food 10/5 Ordered the premium seafood buffet. Prawns is very huge. First time see so big prawns at this price range buffet. Beef / lamb / pork / seafood all tasted fresh, no frozen taste and weird smell. Serves beer and good place to hangout. They also have a mama mee station, ice cream shelf and the sauce selection is plenty enough.
The only bad thing is the middle grill, it is quite slow compared to the traditional charcoal grill but the tomyam soup is very...
Read moreI'm actually really surprise not much people on the weekday. Appreciate when food are defrosted and straight can cook and eat. Varieties are aplenty and fresh. Prawns are big, clams are fresh, meat is nice whether on the grill or in the pot. Tom yum soup was nice. The environment was bright and interesting. Price wise its really good value for everything. Easily the best buffet in seri kembangan area. I'm usually not a fan of mookata. But this place I really like for the good food, environment and price.
The place is on the first floor above ti pi wu cafe, entrance to the place is opposite some steamboat place. I hope they last so I can continue to revisit the...
