First time I ve been there and I was absolutely amazed and astonishing from this restaurant. They also took precautions for Covid-19 serious as tables were far from each, even though this also result from the loss of profit, but what can I say they surely have great respect for their client, and J have been amazed from this lounge. Some of you might say it's expensive, but trust me you are paying for what are you gonna eat cause every food I ve tried, starter, main course and dessert, they were absolutely delicious 😋. As for the staff, they were truly amazing, and I would surely again go and eat something from there. I think this was the best restaurant I ve been this year, and to those couples out there, the atmosphere is perfect for a date, your girlfriend or boyfriend would surely reward you after a great meal at the Madliena Lodge.

Utterly disgusted by the service received at Madliena Lodge which was all done out of pure GREED! We organised a group dinner of 31 people and paid a deposit for such number, which was totally acceptable. Unfortunately, since we're still during a pandemic, we had people who were forced to quarantine unexpectedly in the same week of the dinner, and therefore couldn't attend. However, we called to inform the restaurant of such changes. Upon paying the bill (at the end of the event) we were told that we had to also fork out the full price of the dinner for the people who couldn't attend (price was EUR 50 per person). Had we only lost the deposit of the people who didn't attend, it would have been completely understandable but being charged full price for food that was never served and for people who couldn't attend for circumstances beyond their control is completely shameful. Since we were being charged full price we asked to pick up the food that we had to pay for and that was supposedly "ordered and purchased". We agreed we would collect the said food the following day to deliver it to the people who were forced to pay for it and couldn't make it. To add insult to injury, the restaurant manager never called the following day as agreed. We called him ourselves and agreed on another day to pick up the food. Upon arrival to collect the food, we were greeted with arrogant disdain and were presented with soup and pasta in plastic carrier bags! Clearly an exercise of spite. Totally unacceptable behaviour! Shame on the restaurant manager and whoever he answers to. To understand my level of absolute disgust, please see photo attached.

Pasquale, the restaurant manager, shamelessly insisted on full payment having no regard to the uncontrollable circumstances. His excuse was that food had already been bought specifically and prepared for the original number of attendees. Considering this, we asked for the food that we had to pay for and didn't receive. However, he continued to come up with more excuses saying that the kitchen had closed. As a compromise, we agreed we would collect the said food the following day to deliver it to the people who were forced to pay for it and couldn't make it. To add insult to injury, Pasquale never called the following day as agreed. We called him ourselves and agreed on another day to pick up the food. Upon arrival to collect the food, we were greeted with arrogant disdain and were presented with soup and pasta in plastic carrier bags! Clearly an exercise of spite. This restaurant was recommended to me by a local shop owner A short taxi ride from st Julien bay took us to a beautiful romantic restaurant set in a courtyard with a sea view Nicely tucked away from the main busy area’s even the taxi driver had never known it was there and declared he would bring his wife there soon The menu was complicatedly written but I managed to understand with the help of the excellent waitress Very traditional Maltese dishes beers and wines and a nice selection of desserts I would recommend this restaurant for that special romantic occasion as you only ever get what you pay for bit pricey but worth it

Oh wow what an experience. I honestly never knew this place existed, but tonight had dinner there with my colleagues and it will definitely not be my last time in this place. The food is out of this world, I don't know how being a local I didn't know about it. I had pasta with rabit Ragu, it's the most delicious pasta plate I have ever eaten. I wish I can eat it everyday. The beef was cooked to perfection and so delicious. Simply put this restaurant is up there with the best, if not the best ! Thank you for the brilliant food. I highly recommend this restaurant .

We rented Madeliena Lodge for a large 100 people Birthday Party. With different food packages and drinks packages. Staff were amazing looking after all our needs. We hired a band and DJ to dance the night away and we're able to add our own Champagne as welcome drinks. Children were catered for in the bar area where we hired a children's entertainer so the adults could enjoy themselves. We had full use of the seating areas and space was made for the dance floor. Seating outside for comfort and chatting was amazing. 👏👏👏
