George's Restaurant — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

OM gosh. This was a rare find and so worth the drive from our resort. Not to mention we crammed 6 adults into a little Nissan leaf size car. We went on a Sunday night and late-8:30 by the time we got there but I called ahead to say we were coming. The dining is in the atrium of the boutique hotel. Our waiter, Magyvet, yes the same Jack of all trades dudes and he was awesome. The catch of the day was sea bass and done 2 different ways. My hubby and I both ordered but done both ways. The mojo was amazing. Best sea bass I’ve had in years from the states. 2 couple had chorizo and pepperoni pizza. BOGO and it was so thin and crispy…the queso fundido-put of this world. And the George margarita…cants say enough of their place. Oh and another person had the stuffed chili relleno with chicken and she said it also amazing. Not only is the food authentic and delicious, everything from the bread to the salsa to chorizo is made in-house and the staff treated us like family. While most of the food is traditional, you can find options for picky kids and people with more cautious palettes. The staff is so kind they even sang me happy birthday and presented me with a beyond amazing "4 Leches" cake when they learned it was my birthday. Over the course of our 7 night stay at the adjacent La Marina Inn, we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner plus ordered poolside drinks and appetizers and everything was wonderful. Inviting, good looking place with a pool at the end, you get partial view of the Sea or the pool, either way is very welcoming and clean. Been here a few times for drinks, Carlos at the Bar is very experienced and super kind and friendly. He remembered me after several months, so nice! Had the tempura fish burger, large portion, could not finish it, around $230ps Chips and Salsa are so far the BEST in town, pico de gallo was fresh and tangy, so good, no wonder I could not eat the whole Burger, comes with big potato wedges and tartar sauce.
