Passing this place, you’d never think you needed to stop in, but my God is it incredible! We ordered four rolls and couldn’t believe how amazing each one was. The cilantro was my favorite, but it was like picking between the best of the best. The currikane(sp) was also very very good, a perfect sauce and incredibly fresh fish made this the easy and very close second. The spicy special was also very very good, and was the first roll to come in a traditional style, with rice and veggies. It was great, with a jalapeño heavy flavoring, without being overwhelmingly spicy. Finally, we got the Cabo roll, and while not my favorite, it was still better than many rolls I’ve had. All of the fish was incredibly fresh, the sauces were amazing, and the presentation was gorgeous. This is the type of place you go out of your way to dine at, and we will 100% be going back. The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive, and happy to talk us through menu items.

What a hidden gem. Stumbled upon this place while looking for dinner options and saw the amazing reviews. Food was exceptionally fresh and prepared perfectly. Also one of the best margaritas of my life. Wife and I had the chef's sashimi with cilantro sauce (fish of the day option was either yellowtail or yellow fin tuna - we got half each) and it was so fresh and delicious. We also had the nigiri sampler which was salmon, octopus, shrimp, yellowtail, yellowfin tuna, spicy fresh fish, eel, crab, and masago and all were excellent. Lastly we had the spicy grilled octopus which was a huge portion, super tender and flavorful. Service was wonderful. They accept credit cards FYI. Super easy to get a cab back to the hotel after dinner.

I can not believe the reviews are so high. There must be fake reviews on this restaurant. I got the garlic lobster. It was frozen lobster that was cooked beyond recognition. I’ve tasted hockey pucks that were softer. We ordered the rolls as well which were equally terrible. The fish was not fresh at all. The ramen that we ordered were not even cooked properly. We have had instant noodles that were better. It has to be the worst Japanese experience of my lifetime!!! Oh and by the way it took more than an hour and half to get our food and we were the only people in th restaurant. If you’re thinking of Japanese food in Cabo. just run from this place… run fast!!!

I came to San Jose with family and my partner. We are from Vancouver, Canada where the sushi is top notch. This place was by far the best sushi we have ever had! The sashimi mix was incredible & the special rolls blew us away. I had a tamarind margarita, & as a bartender it was hands down the best one I’ve had in my life. Our server Miguel had phenomenal attention to detail, his table service and attentiveness was unreal. Not to mention the complimentary dessert! One of the most kind, passionate service industry workers I’ve ever encountered. Prices were similar to what we would pay in the city, but the sushi was 110% better so it was a steal of an experience. There was a street performer the whole evening singing & playing guitar which made the experience feel all the more special. Highly recommend this spot, we will be returning as much as we can while we are here. Phenomenal service &...

The bill did not reflect the menu prices. When I got home and checked my credit card I was overcharged by over $50. I immediately reached out and they told me a total bill crap lie and refused to adjust or credit me a meal. Just be careful and check your bill as the servers are thieves and management backed up the thieves with a lie. Order sashimi serranito with the fish of the day, hamachi. It was supposed to be $190 and I was charged over $600 pesos. When I brought it to their attention they made up a lie that it’s imported and expensive. The menu clearly stated sashimi with fish of the day, fish of the day was hamachi. Bunch of thieves that lost a long time customer. Shame on management for not offering a solution...
