I’ll start with the negative to get it over with. The meat/beef in the Alambre was full of gristle even though the pieces were tiny. It’s described on the menu in English as skewers but it was more like skillet with lots of cheese. I tried a tiny bite even though it looked incredibly unappetizing. It wasn’t eaten. The same nauseating beef was used in the meat version of Chile Relleno.

Now for the good stuff. We walked in and asked for a table for 8, they helped us push tables together and everyone had a seat right away. We even were able to add additional tables on when 5 more people showed up, no issues!

We went on a Wednesday for a pork taco special which most of our party ordered & loved. The sauce assortment platter was a nice touch, they gave us 3 total for 13 people. Fresh guacamole & chips are a must. Rice & beans (pictured) were fantastic and plated artfully. Chicken quesadilla (pictured) was good. I tried a bite of the seafood stuffed potato (pictured) - it was ok to me but it seemed like the person who ordered it liked it and ate it all up!

CHURROS WERE PHENOMENAL, caramel was my fav vs chocolate. My mouth is watering right now thinking of them.

Doggies were welcome in the...

I love this place. They have great service, a diverse menu, and have a clean facility. The parking area is always raked (no nails found here so far). Since it’s open air we had a couple flies bothering us one day while we ate which is infuriating and a little triggering if I’m being completely honest. They set up a fan for us but that didn’t work so they set up a burner on our table with cloves in it. They really do a good job doing everything they can to make sure you have a good experience. Also their happy hour 2 for 1 margaritas...

Top notch service and attention to detail. All of the staff was friendly, accommodating and just overall wonderful. Food was delicious and the best we have had in el Sargento/la ventana.

Sampler of salsas was complimentary and we had guacamole as well. My partner had the burrito with beef, and I had quesadillas with squash blossom and one with shrimp. Tasty as can be and tortillas so fresh and delicious. All food and 2 topo chicos for only $36 USD

Highly recommend...
