Pizzería di Don Roberto — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

Some of the best pizza I’ve had in the entire world let alone Mexico. All of the food is authentic Italian and we had a chance to chat with the proprietor after dinner at which point he confirmed all the ingredients are freshly imported weekly from Italy, he even brought us some hand made dessert to try which was also to die for. Being from the east coast of the US we are spoiled with lots of multi generation Italian restaurants but this food was easily on par or better than most we get from our local Italian owned higher end restaurants in Pennsylvania New Jersey or New York. If you’re looking for a real taste Italy south of the border than I would look no further than here - I would argue that you won’t find pizza this good anywhere...

If you know Italian pizza and you see the photos, you know you will be in the right place. Sure enough it was awesome. Neapolitan pizza made by an Italian from Napoli who puts passion into the culture, food, and environment. On top of that seafood in LB is great so the frutti di mare pizza beats anything eaten before. "Best pizza in town" would be an offense, I'd say this place should make the list of the 5 best pizza places in North America. Disclaimer: if you are American, and didn't grow up with real Italian instead American pizza, your expectations and taste may be different. Visiting Los Barriles from Seattle for a long week over Thanksgiving. Staying in local condo and was referred by other owners to another pizza place. We saw this one when pulling out of town and stopped in to check it out. Owner came over and greeted us. We decided to give it a try- besides some incredible Mexican food in town, this was one of our most memorable places to eat. Super modern and clean, friendly but the food was amazing. Between the four of us, we enjoyed pizza and pasta dishes. All amazing. Finished it off with amazing desserts and some special coffee drinks. Highly recommend! And…they...
