I am sure not all food is poor at this establishment given the reviews that state the otherwise. However my experience as of April 29th 2023, I ordered four tacos. One of asada one of chicken one fish and one arrachera. None of these tacos were to my liking. The chicken was far too salty, the fish which I had high hopes of being delicious because this is near the sea, was very Bland, the asada was mediocre at best, and I had to spit out the arrachera. The tortilla for all of them were going on cold, they were barely warm. My wife ordered the exact same thing that I did, and we both did not finish our meals however we paid the full price which I would say is also a bit expensive since this restaurant knows that Americans or tourists come to visit it. It is currently priced at around 45 pesos per taco, and prices in surrounding areas are about 29 pesos per taco. The only thing that I did like was the green avocado salsa which was very delicious. The atmosphere seems good, the service I'm sure is also good as a multiple times came to our table to ask if everything was okay or if you wanted to go boxes. Since we did not enjoy the food and we left a lot left over, we did not request...

You must try the spaghetti Bolenese. It's fantastic. All you can eat on Wednesdays.

After a 1.5 years hiatus from this place, I decided to try Charlys all you can eat pasta ($13 USD). I wasn't expecting much due to my previous experiences at this place, in addition to being in Mexico where it's not necessarily known for the Italian food (obviously).

I'm glad I gave Charlys another shot. The Bolognese was absolutely amazing. Almost equal to what I enjoyed in Italy. If you appreciate excellent spaghetti, make sure you visit this place. I am confident you will also enjoy it like I did.

While savoring my second bowl of deliciousness, I met the (new) owner (Billy). He explained that he became Charlys new owner on Jan 1, 2024 and the Bolognese recipe was his Grandma's. Billy is very friendly and welcoming, not to mention attentive.

I have dined on Bolognese all over Mexico, some have been good, but this is by far the best. *(For the naysayers...Yes, I know it's Mexico and not Italy).

I will definitely be returning to try other things as well. Btw, decent view of the...

Nice place to have food. Regular traditional Mex. food. I had some shrimp enchiladas with green sauce the dish came with rice and beans and i had a sparkling lemonade to drink. I was there from 4:45pm to 5:30mpm on a Friday afternoon. It was my first time there and it looks like they have their regular crowd that stops by. They offer live entertainment. I'm not sure on which days but for sure most Fridays because people were stopping by and asking if they had live Entertainment Tonight. It's much more than a hole in the wall. It could be a place to hang out with friends and have a drink or just stop by and have a drink at the bar and catch a game. They have TV'S all around the bar area. Parking is right off the road so be careful pulling in and out and don't forget to tip the guy watching your car. He did make it clear to me that he...

New owners, fresh remodel, same bad decisions waiting to happen. 🍺 The new Charly’s Crue Sports Bar is open and ready to ruin your liver in style: -15 damn screens — if you miss a game, that’s on you. -Pool table — perfect for flexing your “skills” after a few too many. -Live music every weekend — loud, local, and a little unhinged. -Karaoke — turning shower singers into public disasters Cheap beer, killer food, and a view almost as sexy as the hot wings. We’re clean, rowdy, and serving up nothing but good vibes and bad ideas. 👉 Tell us you saw this on Google, and your first drink’s on us (after that, it’s between you and your bad life choices).

Really enjoyed this whole in a wall. The chips are very good and comes with salsa, a cream sauce and something that looks like guacamole but it’s not. It’s very hot. We really liked the salsa as it had a Smokey flavor. The guacamole was very tasty. I ordered a shrimp taco and a fish taco - both grilled. They were simple and nice and tasted fresh. My wife ordered the coconut shrimp and they weee delicious. The dipping sauce was perfect. The mango margarita was very good and may be one of the best we’ve had. Fresh fruit flavor and large portion size. Charlie’s is close to Club Marena where we often stay. We will be back.
