Johnny Rockets — Restaurant in Baja California

We have to all agree airport food is never going to be anything more than average average average. So in order to give Johnny Rockets at Tijuana Airport a fair rating, I’ll keep my focus on service and taste. As for price, airport food rarely offer meal deals such as value meals or buy1/get1. Do I like paying $11.79 for an “original” burger (basic) and fries combo with no drink? Of course not, but I was hungry. Today, I chose the hamburger combo over Panda Express, Pizza Hut, tacos and tortas. Although, these food places are considered fast food, they are definitely not fast food serving ….. slow, very slow. If you have a flight to catch within an hour’s time, best you ask cashier how long your order will take to make.

Today’s experience at Johnny Rockets was not a bad one. I no longer expect much from workers at front counter, rarely do they go above and beyond. Again, they’re basic. They may or may not greet you, they will take your order, you pay them and then you wait for your number to be called out. The burger and fries took approximately 20 minutes to make. There were 3 customers ahead of me that were placing their order and 2 were still waiting for theirs to arrive.

My meal was fresh, tasty and the right temp. No complaints

Tables and chairs were available for customers, but I joined my traveling group in the airport’s bar area and had my meal there.

BTW more than likely- if craving burgers&fries - I’ll be returning to Johnny Rockets at any...
