Very cool place with amazing food. Nice view from the outdoor deck right on the water.

The rare rain in baja tapped gently on the metal roof as we enjoyed the French Onion soup.Crisp fresh Iceburg salad with bluecheese and bacon really brightened the senses on the rainy day.

Next came a delicious ribeye steak, very nice quality beef presented with heirloom carrots and baked potato. The sauce was so delicious I was totally impressed. Was a bit over cooked but still tender and delicious. Order rare some how medium rare may have been lost in translation.

Sashimi is not what I was expecting to see in a place like this but when it arrived at the table it was beautiful, I was very impressed. Tender slices of succulent fresh tuna over a bed of spiral vegetables.

After, we snuck a fabulous fish taco just for down home baja favorite fare. Kind of a baja baseline. If you dont have good tacos and cold beer you got no respect, they have all three in my book!

Decided to forego a traditional desert and get what I thought was quite an interesting drink from the specials menu. The Chaguito Jack! A sweet chocolate marshmallow with baily's, amaretto, chocolate liquor, marshmallows and a touch of cinnamon and chocolate syrup. A desert to get buzzed with. Incredible spectacle as they flame roast the marshmallow right at the table. Fun experience indeed.

Tucked away down a dirt road, Kraken Restaurant and Bar instantly took me back to the Rosarito of the 1990s, with its nostalgic charm reminiscent of a time when stop signs were propped up in trash cans and the police were always waiting for you to miss them. This place embodies everything that used to define Baja Mexico—a vibe that’s increasingly hard to find.

From the moment we arrived, the experience was fantastic. The restaurant is not only cute but also impeccably clean, with friendly staff who made us feel welcome from the get-go. The food was excellent, with every dish—from the aguachile to the tacos—hitting just the right notes. The cold beers and stunning views added to the overall atmosphere, making it a perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty of the coast.

Despite its location right on the water, the prices are refreshingly reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the unbeatable views. My wife and I dined there recently and genuinely enjoyed the entire experience. If you're visiting or if you just live around here that you have to go visit cracking right away because it has a spectacular view the stake that they serve there is super and the pizza that you get there with the green sauces absolutely great I recommend the drinks they have one that is called blood something and it's really good and they also serve like these three small little drinks that are very very heavy if you're into drinks which is great for the ladies. The only thing that I wish was a little bit better is the parking, (edit: the parking is fine, but some guiding lines on the ground would help so that people can make better use of the space).
