It's been a lot of fun staying here at the famous HK! Top notch entertainment! The hotel has its facets as well as its flaws.
Rooms are gorgeous and spacious, the lighting is fun, TV is huge, and all premium channels plus adult channels are free. A/C and heat both work well, and the shower is hot! Only 2 outlets per room. They bring you fresh soap and towels every day! They run a tight ship too, security everywhere, I never felt unsafe! Rooms are 420 friendly!
Steps away from the best club in Mexico!
The attached restaurant Azul is just a taco stand, but they have really good food! I was hoping for a quiet seating area to get away from the chaos of Zona Norte, but only standing space on the sidewalk here! There's another attached restaurant called Sendanorte, but I can't figure out where that one is. The lock box in my room never worked. I mentioned it to staff, but nothing was done. I just kept my valuables on me. I was told I would get a free breakfast every morning, but I never got any free breakfasts my entire stay. There's no secured parking, and this isn't the best block to leave your car... but they offer free limo service from the border! I'm not sure about the airport.
It's never quiet! Music plays loud 24/7, and if the sun is down, there are drunk grown men making a scene left and right. Random women wander the halls soliciting their services all night, they kept waking me up.
Everywhere I go in this neighborhood, there are older men dressed nicer than me begging me for money, it gets exhausting, but it's manageable for a weekend getaway!
All in all, I am satisfied. And I will definitely...

I do not appreciate having to take a picture of the mini-refrigerator as I come and go to prove that I didn't drink anything (there's a nearby Oxxo, Soriana, and Calimax if I want anything). The cleaners start coming around at 6-6:30am and believe me you can hear them, especially since the sound bounces off of the tile floors. And I don't want to feel obligated to give tips; I will give them at my own discretion.
The convenience store downstairs closes around 5am and the lady who runs it is real nice. This store has everything you can think of. There is a beauty salon near the entryway, which is convenient. And the connected restaurant, Azul, is great to get any last-minute eats at the well-stocked bar, or for a full-on meal. They have a very thorough menu. Hint: sit outside at the restaurant. The zona norte is what I call free television.
I don't make a habit of staying here, but I come here to facilitate meeting with some friends of mine. Add to that a nice shower; nice linen; fresh, fluffy towels; a mini-closet to hang your clothes up in; and more...and you have yourself a rather nice...
Read moreThe only reason i am not giving them a 5 star is the customer service. I had a reservation. When I reached on time they said there is no rooms accept the master suite. So I had to take it or leave. Now by reading other reviews I see that they doe this as a practice. As I am sure you know this is the same owner as Hong Kong and a few other clubs. Azul Resturant is here. A1 food. Rooms are nice. You are allowed to bring street work to the room which is a plus. I suggest if you rent rooms more than 4 nights you get the V.I.P vard for $50. With it you get 80 to 20% off your room. Rooms are noisey. But look where you are at. Rooms are clean and up to date. They change the whole bedding between use. I would...
