Red Café — Restaurant in Baja California

I have visited both the Downtown and Playas location. I must say, 9 out of 10 times I have had 5 star, amazing service, especially from Alex. This Saturday at the Playas was different. I stopped in with a friend for 2 shots of espresso. After waiting over 15 minutes, I asked the waiter what happened. He said ours was up next. After waiting an additional 5 minutes, I went to the barista, who stated we were next. I waited an additional 5 minutes, and at this point went to the counter and asked for a refund. The barista became angry and attempted to throw money at me. I reprimanded him and left, however the service of and actions of this barista are unacceptable in any walk of professional business. I hope the owner will not tolerate employees with this type...

I lived in Tijuana for 18 years (im 20 ik) and i had never have the worst attention in a coffee shop. Was horrible cuz i ordered a dirty chai latte en las rocas (cold)... then she asked me “hot”... i said “no, en las rocas... cold”. Then I sit down and waited for the coffee, and she gave a hot coffee, and I told her it was cold and not hot. She got mad and she said "you asked for a hot coffee and it says it on the ticket", and It AGAIN that no, and my friends also said no. I had a hot vanilla latte and it was delicious! I’d go out of my way for another one. My friend had the iced latte. I like that they serve the drinks in reusable cups. We shared the Nutella and strawberry crepe and it was delicious! You order at the counter and they bring the stuff to your table. The view and people watching is great.
