This Walmart is ok. Has a wide variety of things at reasonable prices. At this store customer service is just ok but it's like that at every Walmart , just mediocre, except for in the meat department.
In the meat department there is one guy who was very tall, and extremely courteous. Every time he would see me he would make eye contact and asked me if I needed help with anything. He would speak to me in English almost as if he knew it wasn't from the area and might be lost. Haven't seen him in a while, wish more of the employees had his demeanor.
The one big complaint I have about the store and every Walmart I have ever been to is the glacial speed that the cashiers move. It is painfully slow and I wish Walmart would do more to move the lines .
it seems that there is always an issue with every customer. Either there's not enough change and the cashier has to go get change from customer service or another cashier or the cashier needs a manager's approval for something everything is done so slow at times I'm tempted just to leave my things and go to Cali Max.
Also, be advised at this store you must pay attention during your transaction. I had one cashier who seemed very nice and had a very pretty smile Short Change me 200 pesos. I I caught this right away and told her in my best Spanish that she owed me change but a year ago I would not have caught this as I am somewhat new to Tijuana.
Also recently I was charged twice for a product. I didn't catch that until I got home and looked at my receipt and because my Spanish is so bad I didn't even bother to go back and complain
update..6-20-2017.. Remember that cashier with the pretty smile i told you abut?? Well yesterday she tried to short change another customer (american). Shaking my head..... This lady must be a regular scam artist. You wouldnt suspect it though. she looks so sweet and innocent. Be careful at this walmart people!! Make sure you get back...
Read moreUpdate: Still the worst store in TJ. If you have ANY plans after your shopping visit to this Walmart, you will have to cancel them.
Shopping here is like shopping in Bulgaria pre-Wall Fall. I have been standing in line for an hour and there are still ten shoppers in front of me. This is madness! I have lived here for 15 years and Walmart has always been a dreaded visit.
Old review: they always have the store jammed so full of stuff that the carts do not fit anywhere, ALL THE WHILE never seeming to have exactly what you need.
For example, I have cats. One month, there will be no kitty litter, and then all of a sudden, they will have boxes of it on every shelf. You go back a week later, and it's all gone. I'm like, be consistent. Obviously, the demand is there. Either you are going to sell pet supplies or not. Also, the beer selection is less than a small Oxxo.
But the biggest complaint: They never have enough cashiers working. The poor cashiers are working hard but they just cannot keep up. Just ridiculous. No matter what time you go there, there are never enough cashiers. You always have to wait in a line. I went there over Christmas and there were shopping carts backed up almost to the back of the store! I counted 7 unused registers. Anyway, I don't mean to be negative but they need to learn something from Calimax or CostCo about getting customers...
Read moreI went with my daughters to purchase them some shoes because eventually they’re growing up .. However, The “security” sorry, the door person did not allow me to enter the store. Even though we had our mask and gloves on. With an attitude he said “Store policy.” Says who?? “Read the sign” That’s what the “security” told me. So, I research online about Walmart Covid-19 stores policies in Mexico, There's no such thing about denying the entrance to children. It only proves to me the ignorance of this person and store supervisors. I understand that it is for health security. But in my case, I have no one to take care of my daughters, what happened?
