21.073160°, -86.775135° Restaurant Cüa is located in Cancún’s Zona Hoteleria. This restaurant is the number one TripAdvisor restaurant in Cancún with 1295 excellent reviews. Expectations were high and we looked forward to an excellent dinner until we arrived and the disappointments began.

In December 2024, the first disappointment was that Cüa is part of Hotel Emporio Cancún, a large resort that caters to US tourists. Cüa is not an independent restaurant. The second disappointment was that Cüa is a huge buffet restaurant for many US hotel guests. Not at all a romantic place to dine: big television screens showing football and baseball and loud music coming from the ceiling. Dining in a Hard Rock Café setting. The third disappointment was the food quality: it is on par with American casinos. Quantity over quantity. Completely tailored to US guests and their poor taste. Lots of calories, little taste. Doesn't come close to good food. No enjoyment, only all you can eat for a fixed price Mex$605. The cheeseboard for dessert was the best.

Our stay at Hotel Emporium was awesome with the family and Cua restaurant made it even better with extensive buffet menu everyday which was rotated. The customer service is off the charts here.
