We were here 1/3/25. This place is beautiful and offers an amazing view of the canal, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. We were seated inside and still had a lovely view of the canal. It was a very windy and cool evening, so we were glad to sit indoors. The restaurant even provided blankets for guests seated outside, which was a thoughtful touch.

When we started looking through the wine list, I checked some options on my app. The server initially said, “I don’t know if we have this, but I’m pretty sure we don’t,” regarding our first choice of wine. Supposedly, they didn’t have our first option, and the server instead pointed us toward more expensive bottles. We declined those suggestions and ended up choosing a decent bottle for $80.

As for the food: • Caprese Salad: Hard to eat due to the baby tomatoes. • Frito: Very good, tasty, and fresh. • Caesar Salad: Good and generous enough to share. • Margherita Pizza: Just okay but paired well with the wine we ordered. • Lasagna: A disappointment. The pasta was overcooked, mushy, and bland. We had to ask for salt and oregano. I wouldn’t order this again. • Chocolate Soufflé: This was not a soufflé but rather a molten lava cake. When I questioned it, the server insisted it was a soufflé and then pretended not to understand me, even though I was speaking Spanish.

I’m torn about returning here. While the appetizers were good and the wine we selected was enjoyable, the lasagna was a letdown, and the server seemed to push expensive bottles of wine, which left a bad impression. However, the beautiful canal views, particularly from the outdoor seating area, make it an appealing spot to enjoy a good appetizer and a...

alt, pepper, habenero, olive oil, lemon, onion to make a dip for the bread. 👌

Fettuccine alla bolognese - ( 8 hours of slow cooking ) We loved the texture of the pasta with the bolognese and the sauce. Tasted cohesive and well rounded.

Gnocchi Ragu Romagnolo - (bolognese sauce made exclusively with romagnola sausage. ) I personally loved this one the most, the gnocchi was dense yet idk how they were able to get so much flavor in the gnocchi. They did a really great job making the dish really cohesive & flavorful throughout with every bite.

Prime Pepe Verde Beef Steak 240 grams ( Prime beef steak flambe with brandy, in Madagascar green pepper cream. Served with garnish of baby vegetable, baked potato, asparagus, and grape tomato.) Didn't taste any alcohol at all. The meat wasn't moist and cooked just right, not dry at all. Tasted fresh. The green pepper cream sauce poured on everything was delicious. 🙌

Tiramisu - ( their house recipe) I tasted a bit and I thought the vanilla in it was refreshing and delicious. The best tiramisu I've ever tried. We both agreed we would make it without the coffee in it though. Both the coffee and chocolate also had a strong fresh flavor to it. definitely made it...

if i could transport to any restaurant in mexico, it would be here. i understand italian food may not be favored in mexico but do yourself a huge favor and come here for the most absolute amazing italian dishes. everything is so fresh and well presented. the service is excellent and the dishes are extremely flavorful. my family loves to get the bruschetta and the truffle pizza to start always. it is impeccably good, but what really stole the show this past time was the fried tuna crispy rice? i think that is what it was, it was exceptional.

the main dishes are truly the pastas, but the cheese wheel pasta, the lasagna, and the spaghetti pomodoro are truly the best in the game.

location wise, i loved their old location on the lagoon, it was perfect. i wish they would bring back their flatbread they used to serve, i think it was just the crust from the pizza without any toppings, but it was still excellent.

highly recommend coming with family and close friends, this is not a party scene, more of a special dinner vibe. dress up and enjoy delicious italian food in...

We were able to sit outside, enjoying the scenery while receiving top quality food and service! This was a wonderful experience, especially for us since our pasta is often made from scratch. Our standards are pretty high when it comes to Italian food. My husband brought all of the family traditions from his childhood into our home. To say Cencacolo blew our expectations out of the park would be an understatement!! We are grateful for this recommendation and we look forward to a return visit. Mangia, e grazie, a presto!

Went there last night. This place was excellent. Visiting from Dallas texas. Excellent service and food was very delicious. We had the following: minestrone soup, fresh bread, pizza, ravioli, spaghetti Al burro. I had filet mignon. Flan for dessert. Everything was extremely fresh and tasty. All the good food made in house. Only wish they had bourbon selection. All they had was Woodford reserve and Jack. We highly recommend this place. Our waiter was also very attentive. Total with tip was 3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ USD
