Chela de playa — Restaurant in Cancún

I love this place! BEST BEER IN QUINTANA ROO! I especially love their Jamaica Gose & Kolsh, but they have great cocktails too (try the frezcal / mezcal de fresa 🍓). My husband’s favorite is their white IPA (it’s hazy and delicious)!

The food is great, our favorite is by far the Torta Wannabe & the nachos! We also love the rock shrimp. Make sure to ask for their house made ranch dressing.

The service is great, we go often and the manager, Cristhian, is always so friendly. The owners are also super sweet!

We love this place so much we got a keg of the white IPA for our wedding and it was super easy to coordinate with them! They dropped it off and picked it up at our venue. 2 days before the wedding we invited about 30 of our friends so all the wedding party could meet each other prior to the wedding. Chela de Playa accommodated us and everyone loved the food and drinks!

Bonus points: they have board games...

El lugar es agradable, pero la atención de la mesera desde el inicio parecía que no quería atendernos, le pedí un guacamole y dije que si podía ser sin cebolla pero ella nos comentó que no porque ya estaba preparado y está bien se entiende, después le pedimos unos camarones roca y le pregunté de qué Hera la salsa de la casa que traía y me dijo ya no tenemos de la salsa así que vendrá con habanero y le dije que estaba bien, pero no fue así llegaron bañados y en aderezo chipotle que la verdad a mí no me gusta mucho sin embargo nos lo comimos al igual que los tacos, aquí el detalle es que siempre tuvo un actitud grosera así como al llegar los platillos a la mesa también nos recalcó que ya estaban por cerrar y bueno pues si así sería me hubieran dicho desde el inicio y nos hubiéramos ideo sin problema para que no sentirnos presionados a comer, recalcando que llegamos como alas 9:45 y nos fuimos como alas 10:10 más o menos todo fue rápido así que supongo que si tenia mucha prisa de irse.
