La Vecchia Pizza — Restaurant in Cancún

Came here for date night. Honestly the place was more than disappointing.

To start with the food: I had the mushroom risotto, my girlfriend had the amatriciana.

The food came out fast, but that was about the only good thing. The risotto was undercooked and served on a broken plate. The pasta was salty, and the "bacon" was actually cut up salty porkchops. And the dish had SO. MANY. OLIVES. Like too many, especially for a pasta sauce that shouldn't include olives. Also, we didn't order this, but I noticed that the pizza doughs were actually pre-baked. Nothing outright wrong with that, but it does diminish the quality of the dish.

This next point is less important to the experience, but it still bugged me that none of the tables or chairs...

Lugar lindo buen servicio y alimentos...

El restaurante se vende como italiano y si tiene toda la escenografía bien hecha, muy bien, lindo, acogedor aunque un poco apretado en la mesa junto al kids club (punto extra)

El servicio bueno, atentos todos los meseros y el bartender peeeero....

Éramos los únicos en el restaurante, lunes por la noche casi 9 pm

Llegamos y nos recibieron muy amables, nos ofrecieron una mesa grande pero muy alta y era algo incomoda así que nos movimos a una más bajita pero si algo apretada por los muros.

Nos ofrecieron bebidas pero sí sentí un poco al mesero con ganas de apresurar el servicio, ya mero se iban a lo mejor o no se pero ahí...(pinto menos)

Las bebidas bien, cerveza bien fría, Heineken y toda su gama.

El menú es amplio y con muchas opciones, algo elevado el precio contando con que la pasta no es fresca.

Nos recibieron con unas ricas brusquetas de cortesía y pedimos dos pizzas al centro, la masa de estás muy rica, delgada y crujiente más no dura, buena salsa, buen queso aunque no muy abundante y eso si pocos ingredientes adicionales, pedimos de higos y traía un higo partido en el número de rebanadas y no es una pizza barata.

La porción de lasagna muy pobre.

Pedí una pasta con salmón y no estaba al dente, la pedí cambiar y llegó la misma de vuelta pero más caliente, creo que el mesero no me entendió... lo deje por la paz

Parmesano fresco (punto extra)

Usan café nespresso, eso resta lo italiano.

Al final pedimos una de Peperoni para llevar y esa si muy rica!

Así que se quedan con 4...

The food was good, but not great. However, they let kids make their own pizza and it was such a fun experience! My nephew felt so proud of himself by making his own pizza and they were so so patient with him. They even have a little apron and chef’s hat for the kids which really make them get into it. They also have an area for kids to play in so this place is super...
