Samba Seafood & Steakhouse — Restaurant in Cancún

I had high hopes for this place, previous reviews and photos held high promises. I liked that seafood options were included and there were different offerings of ceviches, aguachiles as well as other options. I'm not sure what the reasons were for the slow service and overall dry meat. I have visited nearly all churrascarias in Cancun and by far (at least the day I went) the service was the slowest of all of them. The restaurant wasn't particularly slammed, but the service was slow and several times we had to specifically ask to have meat sent to us because a few tables closer to the kitchen were getting served while other tables had to wait. The place looks new, like they are still trying to adjust. I really liked meat there, very nice options, costilla is amazing. But salad bar definitely needs improvement: many plates were empty, some salads looked not that fresh, and it was not written what is the name of the dishes. Other then that place is nice and I hope they can make it better...

Tuvimos una muy mala experiencia. Al inicio, los meseros fueron amables, pero con el paso del tiempo comenzaron a pasar muy esporádicamente. Intentaron retirarnos los platos varias veces antes de tiempo y, al notar nuestra inconformidad, simplemente empezaron a ignorarnos.

A pesar de que solo tenían tres mesas ocupadas, el servicio de espadas podía tardar hasta 25 minutos en volver a pasar (lo cronometré). En cuanto al “seafood”, solo ofrecen tres opciones y, si pides más de una orden de camarones, te la niegan alegando que se les acabaron. Sin embargo, poco después vimos cómo llevaban camarones a mesas vecinas. Fue una mentira descarada.

La experiencia fue de mal en peor, al punto que preferimos retirarnos antes de terminar. Esta era la segunda vez que íbamos; en la primera ya notamos varias deficiencias, pero quisimos darles una segunda oportunidad. Lamentablemente, no solo no mejoró, sino que empeoró.
