The Kitchen Counter by Wolfgang Puck — Restaurant in Cancún

Ordered a small pizza ($22 USD) at Wolfgang Pucks at Cancun Airport. After waiting 30 minutes it still wasn’t ready and only a few people in line. Our flight was getting ready to board and we asked how much longer and they said another 15 minutes. We told them we really needed to get it because our flight was boarding. We waited another 10 minutes and then they said still another 10 minutes. We finally had to leave to board our plane and asked for a refund and they basically ignored us. So we left without the pizza and without a refund. You would think an airport location would have faster service knowing people have to be on time to their gate. Pitiful !!! We were in Cancun airport Saturday Dec 4, 2021 returning home, and decided to pickup some sandwiches for the flight home. as I was getting ready to pay for everything I was watching a female employee through the door in the kitchen making subs. She had a bunch of bacon strips in on hand and dropped on on the floor, she bent down to pick it up, and I assumed she was going to throw it in the garbage, but instead she put it on one of the subs she was making. We ordered a steak flatbread sandwich and a WP burger, 1 beer, one Coke Light. Even though we chose the pesos option to pay, it came out to almost 75 USD. That is bonkers! The experience itself isn’t gourmet- the plus is that you aren’t eating at the normal food court places and can get a little more peace in a booth and comfy armchair rather than cafeteria seating just next to it.

The server was enthusiastic and attentive, it was a LOT of food - burger was huge, alioli made it great, fries were seasoned well and crispy. Went with simple menu items and still paid and arm and a leg. 3 stars or less for...
