Restaurante Casa Utrilla — Restaurant in Chiapas

Out of all the places I've eaten at in the past 3 days in San Cristobal, this has been my favorite - and least expensive! I've had a lot of touristy food near Guadalupe and I've been left rather disappointed. I walked by this place to escape the rain and ordered one of their breakfast packages. This is what local Mexicans eat around the Republic for cheap. I had chilaquiles, coffee, freshly squeezed juice, bread, and jam. Very filling for under 70 pesos! Despite the mixed reviews, the waiters were very attentive to me, but I imagine it had to do with the fact that it was slow as it was raining and there were only a handful of people inside. Would definitely recommend this place...

Sunday midday brunch was not favorable. The atmosphere was alright but service and food is average. If you arrive before 1pm you get slapped with ridiculous rules for coffee refills and what is/is not included in your meal package. The service is slacking customer satisfaction. The waiters are very unorganized and is reflected on your ticket for items changed repeatedly. We ordered coffee refills and without prior explanation, were charged 6 coffees instead of two. And when we explained situation to the owner who also is a waiter, he didn’t care. We left unhappy and will not...

All great! The atmosphere is perfectly for meeting or gathering, the manager and the waiters are fabulous, they do know how to serve people. They love what they do. The pizzaz is awesome, the taste of the ones we had, pastor and peperoni was delicious and prices are perfect for the sizes. I definitely going back to eat more and to enjoy the atmosphere in this...
