I find it really sad to see how many other people had wonderful experiences and how crappy mine was in comparison. We went to eat at 12:15, which seems to be a normal enough time for lunch to me. We were never brought menus by the hostess and were offered the buffet. We decided to try it out. My husband waited with the kids and I went to make him a plate. There were a lot of things that were nearly empty but I decided that I would go ahead and make one plate for him and by the time I got back to fix mine, there would be some things that were refreshed. Nothing was refreshed. So I filled about half a plate with the things that were left and thought that I would just be patient and get a nice plate once they had time to refill things. Then we're approached by the manager and told that we had about 15 minutes and then they were going close the buffet for the day. Here I am with half a plate of food that I still haven't even put my fork in yet. My husband had eaten about half of his and said the rest was either old, cold or nasty. I told the manager that I wanted to order from the menu instead and that I didn't understand why I was offered the buffet if their intention was to close it early and not serve fresh food. He didn't even apologize. He agreed to take off 1 buffet from the bill but said that my husband would still have to pay for his and walked away. I thought he would surely change his mind after seeing that my husband's one and only plate was still half full and that he and I shared the food I ordered. Nope. He didn't. He charged us. Then the server was so embarrassed by the whole incident that he put $0 for his tip when we had full intention of leaving him at least 20%. He was a good server and didn't deserve to pay the price for crappy service on the manager and kitchen's behalf. He packed up the food that I ordered from the menu because I was so frustrated with the situation that I lost my appetite. So the owner got money in his pocket for the garbage he saw fit to serve and allow and the server walked away with nothing but the little bit of cash we had on us. Now we have to pay another fee to withdraw cash again. Thanks. I hated my experience, I will never be back and I will make sure to tell everyone I can how horrible of an experience I had and how terrible...
Read moreNot good at all. Many folks recommended but we went on Saturday afternoon for late lunch. Ordered jarra of pineapple highly recommended so you won’t have to ask for another drink from your waiter. Our waiter took a while for pineapple jarra drink aka agua fresca but he had two other tables in which he served some dessert and then asked if he would be back. Asked him for straws took a while had to get up to get them myself. Also he kept saying something about cinnamon that it smelled great but it smelled like gas/ burnt from the dessert. Then he came back and asked us several times about a soup when we both said no thanks he kept insisting then my husband said ok sure just so he can get out order. I ordered the Chile relleno plate with no sauce several minutes later it came with sauce I just decided to eat one. It came with rice and refried beans and small salad dry with no limes or dressing. Ps our servers name was Armando. He was kind of lost, seems like he lost our ticket and found it. Will...
Read moreI visited this restaurant with my parents, and we were really looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. Because we weren’t in what they considered “professional attire,” the hostess told us we could only be seated in the kids' area. She also mentioned that the main dining area is reserved for recurring customers only.
That made us feel judged and unwelcome. My parents were especially disappointed, and I don’t think anyone should be treated that way at a place that claims to offer good service. I’m giving one star only because the food was ok — but the hosts itself was disrespectful. We won’t be...
