Mariscos La Boquilla — Restaurant in Chihuahua

Another trip to Cuidad Juarez MX, serendipitously, we discovered this diamond in the rough, hole in the wall, see food restaurant named, Mariscos La Boquilla. Not sure what that means, and could possibly be way off, but to me this translates into, See Food Restaurant, Pout or small mouth. This restaurant is definitely unbeknownst to most, and surely disenfranchised, it also doesn't help, that this tiny diner is about the size of a small mobile home. Despite the not so "good looking" diner, the trip proved to be a good one.

As we entered the establishment, (thinking it was a "tiendita" (small store) we were immediately welcomed in and quickly offered us a seat. Not wanting to disappoint the small business, we decided to accept the invite, and have lunch here. The restaurant is really really small, but the hospitality, service and food are all with big hearts. I ordered the Mojo de Ajo (breaded garlic fish fillet) and Willie ordered the Veracruz (sauteed fish with lots of different veggies) a medium shrimp cocktail, with all the fixings, and two drinks. Our meals come with 2 small bowls of delicious fish soup, (as appetizers) and a bowl of freshly made tostadas with salsa. Our entree plates, were healthy servings, but most importantly "sabrosos" (delicious) with the best customer, and the cherry on top, 30 bucks (including tip) for the entire meals.

Can't really recommend it, since most people expect upper class or higher status restaurant reviews, but I will say, if you ever get the chance to visit, do so. I am a firm believer of supporting the local shops (since I'm one as well) over the overpriced, hyped up, commercialized franchised restaurants....

Un lugar sencillo con muy buena comida.

El lugar esta pequeño pero la comida esta muy rica. La atención es genial y nos sirvieron nuestros alimentos rapido. Nos dieron tostaditas (totopos) y un poco de caldo de pescado para empezar. Solo aceptan efectivo asi que vayan preparados. No venden cerveza. Definitivamente volveremos la próxima vez que se nos antojen...

Food is excellent...price is fear....waitting staff not so good....little tiny place, worth...
