Spectacular Ambiance, Disappointing Menu 🌟🌿✨
The place, the atmosphere, and the decor are amazing—you'll feel like you've stepped out of Querétaro. However, the kids' area, despite having nannies, falls short. It’s just synthetic grass, a room with a TV, and a slide. 🛝
As for the food, the menu doesn’t justify the prices. There are better places for pizzas, pastas, and especially for cuts of meat. You're really paying for the ambiance here. 💸
Artichoke (⭐⭐): The gratin cheese overwhelms the main ingredient. Octopus Carpaccio (⭐⭐⭐⭐): Quite good, but not my top choice. Croquettes (⭐⭐): Very greasy and the portion is tiny. Drinks (⭐⭐⭐⭐): I had mezcal, served double with orange and pineapple sprinkled with hibiscus salt. 🍹
Service (⭐⭐⭐): The staff might still be getting the hang of things since they just opened. There’s a lack of coordination between the kitchen and the servers.
Kids' Menu (⭐⭐): Only pasta and pizza, and the portions are small. 🍕
Summary: The ambiance and the setting far exceed the menu and service. It's worth visiting once to...
Read moreI write this as lifelong Californian dining in LA, Santa Monica, Newport Beach, Beverly Hills, etc. If this place seems expensive to you, please dine in those places and report back to us about the bill you paid. $80USD for all we got (a cocktail, kids spaghetti, paella but with squid ink noodles instead of rice, aka Fideuá, yummy lamb lasagna, three small yet flavor packed gyro sandwiches, fries, and a rich mushroom broth with truffle oil) seemed like a steal. Oh! And a Turkish coffee.
Place is gorgeous, valet is free (but please tip, they’re very kind and professional), my only nitpick was slow service and asking for certain things repeatedly. I would give 4.5 if I could, but I think it deserves higher than the 4 rating it currently sports as of this writing.
Maybe a picture menu or up to date Google photos , we struggled at the beginning to find out what we liked. We are more used to Lebanese/turkish so we were missing some items we may have expected on the menu. Still, there’s something for everyone. Gotta try this place if you’re staying...
