I noticed that there wasn't any lasagna on the menu so when the owner/chef came by I asked him if he served lasagna. He said no because most Italian restaurants don't serve lasagna and that lasagna is a dish that your mother makes at home. I'm a lasagna connoisseur and I have eaten lasagna at ever fine Italian restaurant I have ever been to all over the world.
So I thought to myself, well maybe he just doesn't have a good lasagna recipe so I told him that I had an amazing lasagna recipe and that I would give it to him if he wanted it. I was hoping that he would add this lasagna to his menue and I would eat there at least twice a week. (Seriously folks, this lasagna is that good. It's from a California restaurant that I use to go to at least once a week but they stopped making it. When I asked them why they said because it took them two days to make it. When they took it off their menu I asked them for the recipe and they gave it to me because I was such a loyal customer. )
He told he that he has a great lasagna recipe already. I'm thinking that if it's so good why isn't it on your menue? Not giving up I said are you sure because this lasagna is really good. He then said I bet you mine is better? I said ok, I bet you a million dollars. He said, do you have a million dollars and I said yes as a matter of fact I do and I walked out without ordering. You should have seen the look on his face. I did have lasagna that night, just not at his restaurant and I will never be going back there again.
UPDATE: Worlds Greatest Lasagna.

Read moreOk food not as great as they’d like you to think but decent, although there’s plenty of other issues, the owner/chef is Italian so yeah, it’s “authentic”, portions are good taste is good, good quality ingredients but the serving staff is quite rude if you’re Mexican or speak spanish, the owner chef is quite a character, he thinks he’s a Michelin star chef and can be quite pedantic and condescending if you don’t shower him with compliments or stroke his huge ego, he’s an ok cook and that’s it. Their restroom is outside the premises and sometimes it’s quite dirty. There’s no parking and they charge you a lot for any special requests and they get quite rude especially the manager-hostess. Oh and a very important thing, I think they’re committing fiscal fraud and evading taxes since they only accept cash, no credit cards or other forms of payment CASH ONLY and their products are way over priced, they don’t give out receipts or any type of fiscal documents so you cannot make any tax claims or deductions. I don’t think these people declare taxes or their books are doctored since they only take cash and don’t give...
Read moreWhat a pretentious joke of a restaurant especially when contrasted with the abundance of delicious food one can get in this region. They wanted to charge $80 for a steak. Sorry no thanks. Ravioli came out, 4 pieces on the plate. No bread or anything included. Had to pay for bread in an Italian restaurant!? And it was cold and stale when it did arrive. Salad was a joke dish with 3 mussels (literally 3). My bill for four people was more than any bill ever in my life for a group of four in Baja and even in San Diego. I got triple ripped off with the bill too. An 8% “mark up” added to the bill with no warning or explanation. I requested to pay in pesos with my credit card but they charged US dollars to my card and gave me a very low 17 peso exchange rate. Just the “mark up”, poor exchange rate, and charging US dollars to my card instead of pesos as I requested cost me an added $40 US dollars to an already ridiculous bill. Absolutely a joke of a restaurant right? Is this guy serious? Go across the street and get better homemade food for 1/20th the pretentious price. This place is ridiculous....
