Mexipon Ramen & Curry — Restaurant in Ensenada

Excellent food. Among The best Japanese ramen you can find here.

Sadly, the service is lacking in 2 ways. First, the beers that we ordered were brought to the table after the appetizers, which took 10+ minutes (i don't know why, because they weren't busy). Also, they didn't bring me a main course when everyone else was served; I guess it didn't strike them as strange that one person didn't receive any food? (I used to wait tables, so i know intuitively that if not everyone is receiving a meal maybe it's because...gasp--I made a mistake!--and didn't ask everyone what they would like for their main course) Apparently these servers aren't aware of the custom to bring appetizers and then afterwards follow up to get the order for the main course.

Second: Beware tobacco smokers! Mexico has recently adopted a no smoking law in public spaces (Basically Saudi Arabia now apparently...) When I went to the parking lot to have a cigarette, not 1--but 2!-- waiters followed us outside to remind us of the new law (Jan 2023); and I proceeded to tell the waiter that it's not his business to enforce a new draconian law, and that if he didn't like it, to call the police. (Suffice to say, They didn't like that. He had to get the last word in and make sure to remind us that we were bad citizens!)

Maybe it's just me but I don't think it's a restaurant staffs' job to become the new enforcers of a law about smoking in parking lots anymore than think it is my job to enforce speeding laws...

I give it 6 months before restaurant owners realize the effects and tell their staff to grow up...

Worlds best Ramen!

My Friends and I came here on a birthday trip and it was great!!!

We asked them why they dont offer Lasagna on their menu and the owner said that he didn't feel it was appropriate to put Lasagna on the menu. I told him that I had the best Lasagna recipe and that I would give it to them if he was interested. He said he had his own recipe and thanked me for offering.

I personally consider myself a Lasagna connoisseur and have eaten Lasagna at some of the best Italian restaurants all over the world. I really wish they would consider adding Lasagna to the menu and hope they change their mind in the future.

In spite of this, I will be happy to come back and eat the world best Ramen in...

The ramen in this place is so tasty. I ate here like 20 times. The pork cuts in the ramen are freshly prepared and dont have that much fat as in some other places. The service is most of the time ok, only once happened that the waitress was not that attentive as usually. The place is very nice, gives to us who never been to Japan at least a feeling of it. Matcha ice cream, matcha late or homemade limonade are great. You can pay only cash. They also offer some other dishes. Once I tried tuna poke and it wasn't very sophisticated, although the tuna in it was fresh and nice. But for the ramen they are the best...
