Rincon Arabe — Restaurant in Ensenada

Terrible experience, we arrived and seated ourselves we were never greeted or had our order taken until my girlfriend got up to call the waitress over. We wanted the banquet platter but they were out of one of the options, we asked if they could possibly substitute it with something else, the waitress said she would check and let us know.

20 minutes later a different waiter brought us our drinks and we asked if we could order. We informed him of the situation with the last waitress and he said he thought she had already put out order in. He promised to check and come back to let us know but he never did. Another 20 minutes passed and again my girlfriend had to get up and find the waiter to find out what was going on. He said the order had been put in with a substitution, we asked what the substitution was and he said I don't know but it's being prepared. We asked to be seated closer to the restaurant near the heaters since it was getting a bit cold this was the only part of the experience to go smoothly.

We ordered more drinks after again having to go find a waiter. After 1 hour and 10 minutes we were over it and went to cancel the order and ask for our check for the drinks. The waiter and cook argued that it hadn't been that long and checked the order ticket. Order was put in at 7:25 we left at 8:35 over an hour wait not including the time we waited before having to call over the waitress. Nice place to sit and watch the sunset, but the live music was so loud we could hardly have a conversation, and he was out of tune a lot.

The portions are so small and the prices very high So a bit of a scam price wise. I paid nearly 750 pesos for a meager meal that left us hungry afterwards, yet we ordered full dishes, but you get very little for your money.

But the food is well prepared, tasty and authentic (more or less) and the location is nice.

Staff could be more attentive, we got the wrong food, so my companion had to wait for his, while my food was served already and it took a long time to catch their attention, the musician had to tap the window to attract their attention for us.

Shame, could be a very nice place, it has potential, but it is a bit over...

Took my girlfriend and her 3 kids there today for lunch. The food was ok, Views were Great, but the Service was Suspect. When all ordered, I wasn't paying attention because he son and I were busy playing Connect Four. Atfer I paid, my gf looking at the total and callled the waiter over. Long story Short, they said there was a mistake between the menu price and what was programmed into the register. Even tho we were obviously NOT TOURIST, it seems like they decided to try anyway.
