El Rincón Gaucho — Restaurant in Guanajuato

The restaurant was great and the tables are set up in a big open space. There is an outdoor terrace here and a tiny kids' playroom here. The staff was attentive until our meal was finished and then they left us alone for a bit, which is pretty normal for León restaurant staff. The food was excellent and it is now one of my favorite places to eat. We ordered the empanadas to start. They were delicious, especially the carne empanadas. I had a margarita which was the right amount of tart for my taste and not overly sweet. My dinner of salmon and grilled vegetables were very good. My daughter had ordered the shrimp with garlic and those were excellent too. To finish our meal, I had coconut ice cream with mint liquor. Wow! It was wonderful! Everyone at our table was happy with their food and dessert. I will definitely go here again and I highly recommend others try it as well. Great place to get your steak and red wine fix! Been here a few times nows and the steaks that I have ordered have never been a disappointment compared to many restaurants I've been to. Also they have these fantastic empanadas that go down a treat.
