We went to Rufos Grill last night. We had noticed nice live music coming from there most evenings and it had good on-line ratings. We ordered the 2 fresh seafood specials of the day - tuna and mahi mahi (dorado). We also ordered a beer and an agua mineral (soda water). The beer and soda water were as expected. The fish was limp and tasteless (I couldn't finish it), veggies not cooked at all. The baked potato was a small scoop of mashed potato in a foil wrap to make it look baked. Read moreWhat a great surprise! We were staying in the pretty coastal town of Zihuatenejo and were told by a frequent visitor to visit this Grill. It is quaint and local and the owner is super friendly and welcoming. Since this is a costal sea town we were looking to try some grilled Octopus. It was delicious! The drinks were great as well, though the alcohol from my drink was separated in a tall shot...
Read moreStandard fare for the Calle. Food was good. Prices a bit less than average. Very popular dinner spot with the tourist crowd. Convenient to Calle Adelita hotels. If possible get a table away from the front. The curious passers by peering through fence is a bit annoying. If you are freaked out by a friendly dog coming to ask for a bite, this is not the place for you. There are a couple of regular pooches who have been well trained by customers that this is a good place for a pat on the head and a snack.
This is the Patio Mexica restaurant in the morning. Have had good breakfasts there...
