Scala Ocean Club — Restaurant in Guerrero

Nice place reserved for resident of the Palacio with access to the beach, 3 swimming pools, soccer field, snack bar, clean toilets, etc. One of the pools is for toddlers (0.5 m deep). The food from the snack bar is surprisingly very good. The service was good, but most of the staff speak Spanish only. It was very hard to communicate with them as I don't speak Spanish.

I liked the fact that you can reserve your spot on the beach on a map at the entrance. The beach itself is ok (brown sand), and it's very clean (no garbage, no seaweed). The ocean is very wavy. The red flag is up most of the time, if not all the time. There are no water activities (kayak, pedalo, catamaran, etc.). The beach is full of sellers of all kinds (buggy rides, horse rides, food, dresses, toys, massages, etc.). You get disturbed every 5 minutes by a seller. Terrible experiencia, si nuestra experiencia en el hotel Palacio Mundo Imperial de esta ocasión que celebrábamos nuestra luna de miel fue decepcionante, la que vivimos en su Club de playa fue espantosa... En la orilla de la playa con muchísima basura, el mar no se diga, los botes de basura del club de playa a tope, se desbordaban, no cabía ya nada, los camastros con restos de comida, platos, latas, cubrebocas tirados en el suelo, en la playa, servicio pésimo por parte del personal, hace 2 años que estuvimos y que apenas se empezaban a abrir los hoteles, el personal muy amable, agradeciendo que estuviéramos de regreso, es una tristeza que como en muchos otros eventos que han sucedido en nuestro país, YA SE LE OLVIDÓ AL PERSONAL TURÍSTICO QUE NO TUVIERON TRABAJO, QUE LA SITUACIÓN ECONÓMICA PARA ESTE SECTOR FUE SUMAMENTE COMPLICADA, QUE FUE UNO DE LOS RUBROS MÁS GOLPEADOS POR LA PANDEMIA, ¡QUE LAMENTABLE QUE LA MEMORIA HISTÓRICA DE NUESTRA PAÍS SEA TAN CORTA!...

Hoy el personal se comportó déspota, indiferente, pedimos una coca con hielo, trajeron una lata que tuvo un costó de $68 pesos. Y nuevamente comprobamos, que si sólo se les dejaba el 15% de propina se enojaban y ponían cara, ellos querían el 20% o más. La señorita de las toallas, muy grosera, literalmente nos arrebató las toallas cuando las entregamos. Se supone que los camiones que llevan del hotel al club de playa salen cada 30 minutos, ahora los señores que conducen estos camiones lo hacen cada 40, 45 y hasta 60 minutos, de mala gana, y si llegan a esperar a los que van del club de playa al hotel, sólo lo hacen por 5 minutos y se van. Todo carísimo y además mal preparado e insípido. Los baños del área de alberca sucios y con un olor sumamente desagradable. Terrible service, terrible beach club for an already terrible hotel.

These people are just looking to charge you at any opportunity they have, from charging for wifi (which you will realize is open), to transport to the club, to "opening" your drinks, to mandatory tips already included in the bill.

Stray dogs running around the place and chasing pets and people.

Not enough beach beds. Ridiculously overpriced food. And this is not even accounting for the poor quality of the hotel itself.
