The coffee definitely is a must have here. We had some in our party even raving about the americano. I had the flat white with whole milk and my hubby the capuccino with almond milk. They were just right! I ordered the gorditas and had one with the mushrooms and the other with rajas (poblano peppers cut in straps and cooked. As these had their skins unpeeled, it has a slightly bitter taste which I didn't like as much. My husband was okay with it) I found the gorditas base a little too thick for my taste. As for the mushrooms gorditas, I personally like the mushrooms more cooked but I can imagine by undercooking them the restaurants don't have to add as many. The gorditas came with cream (we opted for on the side) and were nestled on a bed of black beans. They also were served with some pickled red onions and cucumbers. All good. One of the ladies has chilaquiles which took for ever (they were short staffed) and they brought her a sourdough chocolate biscuit as a courtesy. It was lovely. The men had fried eggs and said they were great. They asked for bread to accompany their eggs and were given slices of excellent sour dough. The service is very friendly and courteous. The music is nice. I found the noise from the coffee mill a little loud and might look for a quieter spot outside. All in all a great place for coffee, bread...

Read moreThe food was so good. We ordered the chilaquiles verdes, la gorda del patron, and french toast. The coffee was also exceptional, and the hot chocolate was to die for. The staff was incredibly attentintive and pleasant, and the order came out quick.
The place is cozy; what they lack in space, they make up for with their incredible service and food.
Will definitely come back for...
