I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Barolo 8C Chapalita for our wedding rehearsal dinner. The entire event was poorly organized by the management, and it made for an incredibly frustrating evening. First off, there was only one server assigned to our party of 42 guests, which was simply unacceptable. Service was slow, and it became evident that they were unprepared for a group of this size. To make matters worse, the food, which had been preordered, was poorly executed. Every single steak came out beyond rare, even though we had specifically requested particular doneness for each one. This was a major letdown, especially since we had trusted the restaurant to deliver quality meals for such an important occasion. Additionally, 16 of our guests were placed in a separate private room, completely isolated from the rest of the group, which was inconsiderate and disruptive to the flow of the event. It felt like a clear lack of attention to detail and understanding of what a rehearsal dinner should be. After voicing our concerns, management never bothered to show up or offer any sort of resolution. Read moreWent there last night on our wedding anniversary by googling for Italian restaurants. Saw the reviews and these were impressive so tried first time. Didn’t reserve and the wait was almost an hour, but well worth it.
Man! It was great. Ordered Tartar de atún Siciliano and Sopa de Parmiggiano for starters, Fetuccini Alfredo with shrimp and Ensalada Provinzal for entrée, alongwhith a bottle of Mexican Cabernet Sauvignon. Assisted in ordering by the maîrtre d despite the busy dinner time rush.
Staff was simply awesome. So helpful, courteous and friendly. Service was fast. And when the food arrived, yummm - simply delicious. Cooked fresh for each order. Perfect.
The ambience was beautiful with even a fountain green strip along the main dining hall. All tables were set well spaced out of earshot, and wih tastefully decorated walls.
The check came to MX 1,445 for two, but the wine alone was MX 869. So the meal was just $576!
Ah yes the parking! It’s by Velet so you can rest easy about where to leave your car.
The overall experience - simply joyful. Will be a regular. The only thing is perhaps the management could review the price of wines. But perhaps that makes up for the inexpensive meals?

Read morePÉSIMA ATENCIÓN AL CLIENTE. PÉSIMA EXPERIENCIA. Hice con tiempo una reservación para 10 personas. Ya estando en el restaurante, al no completar el número de personas nos quitaron una mesa. Ordenamos, cenamos, etc etc. Un amigo más llegó más tarde de manera que ya éramos 6 personas. El Gerente le comentó a mi amigo de manera grosera (como todo el trato que nos dio durante nuestra estancia) que solo podía pasar a despedirse y que posteriormente debía retirarse. Nosotros decidimos tomar una silla de otra mesa porque inicialmente nuestra reservación era para 10 personas...Le negaron el servicio a mi amigo y nos dijeron que no podía quedarse. Al venir a dar la cara el Gerente después de varias vueltas dudosas que se dio a nuestra mesa, nos dice de una manera MUY grosera y con CERO servicio al cliente que mi amigo no podía quedarse, que debía retirarse porque llegó tarde y porque superaba la capacidad máxima de número de personas en el restaurante. Entendemos completamente la situación en la que nos encontramos y la pandemia que TODOS estamos viviendo, pero nos pareció bastante injusto porque nuestra reservación era para 10 personas y porque en la mesa de a lado, eran 5 personas también, tenían una mesa para 10 personas y una de las comensales llegó tarde y a ella no le negaron la entrada ni la corrieron como a mi amigo. Indignados por ese trato tan mal educado y por las formas groseras y desesperadas de hablar y tratar por parte del Gerente, ya estábamos en el proceso de esperar y pagar la cuenta cuando este sujeto les dice groseramente a dos meseros: “¿quién les dio una silla?, si no me dicen veré los videos”. Qué triste ver que ese mal trato no solo se resume a clientes sino también al mismo equipo que forma parte del restaurante. Quise escribir esta reseña porque borraron mi comentario de Facebook restringiendo incluso el que pudiera ver más información.
