The place looked great and busy on Saturday. We went there on the following Monday and it was very quiet. The prices are higher than most. We assumed that the quality is good based on the crowds and prices. My wife ordered salad which was great but arrived missing the cheese till we asked for it. I ordered the pasta. It was overcooked. Then the fun started. I struggled with the grinding salt shaker with no luck. I showed the young waitress and asked for another. She seemed lost and somewhat annoyed. I took another from another table. This one also did not dispense any salt. Finally the shaker came apart and dumped salt on my overcooked pasta. I took the plate over and gave it to the waitress. She saw the salt shaker come apart. She did not apologize or offer a replacement. The lady boss was nowhere to be found. I waited 15 minutes for my wife to finish her meal. The evening was by now ruined. I asked for the bill. The bill came with the pasta dish still on it. Wow. I went in to the lady at the cash register and told the lady I am not paying for the pasta. The wine and beer and my wife's meal I will pay for. She was the boss and offerred not to charge anything. I refused because I wanted to be free to write this review. The manager had 15 minutes to notice I returned a dish (it is not a big place) and was visibly upset and instead of addressing it and saving the day, she chose to ignore it. Maybe she thought I would not complain. It was inappropriate behaviour for the manager of such a restaurant. The chef cannot cook pasta properly. The waitress was poor. The manager ignored the matter when she could have turned it around by addressing it on the spot.
A bad experience all around. The manager came to apologize as we were leaving. Too little too late. The evening was ruined and the buck stops at the manager's feet.
Eat somewhere else. There are far better food at better prices at many other places with more responsive staff...
Read moreExtremely slow service with no apologies or attempts to make it right. I really thought the previous reviews I read must've been exaggerations. I assure you, they weren't. We are patient people and were in no rush, but no one ever checked up on us as a table of two right in front, where each server had no choice but to pass us.
After 1 hour and 50 minutes, we finally decided to just leave some cash on the table covering what we'd received, and go somewhere else. In all that time, all we received was a poorly done Cesar salad with store bought croutons and house wine. We never received our entrees.
No one ever checked on us on their own accord. We watched tables of 6 and 8 people come after us, looking clearly frustrated by the poor service as well, but when both of those tables finally finished their meals and got their checks and we still didn't have our entrees, we were done.
It was just the worst service I've ever experienced, truly. They were not at all appropriately staffed for the evening, yet kept adding more plastic tables, frustrating everyone there and not serving...
Read morePretentious, overpriced, over SALTED. Lamb was slimy ; what did they do to it? It seemed like they tried to brine it like ham. I ate half of mine (and regretted it) but a friend sent his back. Another friend ate only half his meal. The mushroom appetizer was horrible. Who's cooking this mess? The waiter was good, but not worth 20% (which I didn't understand was a suggested tip). The singer was so loud it made conversation impossible. (Go find a karaoke bar.) He started competing with the equally bad violinist at the restaurant next door, leaving our whole party desperate to leave....
