Homey coffee shop and other refreshments in the heart of Ajijic. I am updating this July 2024... The more frequently I come here the more I enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Firstly I like to casualness of the place which makes a great if you need to just relax a little and get away from the buzz of the city. Servers are charming. I can bring my little dog with me it seems to get along with the cat that's always around. They have specials on a board and everything we tried was very good. Excellent, low-key lunch spot...

Tucked out to the side of a local gas station, Lake Taco is overlooked by most people. And yet, it's arguably one of the best Taco joints in town.

The food here is excellent and fairly priced. Service is friendly and attentive, without being intrusive, and despite its gas station location, the atmosphere here is quiet and restful, with views of the lake.

My husband and I have eaten here twice, and both times, the service and the food were excellent. Very peaceful little place, clean, the wait staff are wonderful and will explain any questions you have. Our first meal we both had the skirt steak burrito with some chips and salsa, and it was delicious. The second time, we both had salad. Mine was the shrimp, and his was the skirt steak. Marvelous house dressing and wonderful salads. Would recommend Lake Taco...
