LUCA CAFÉ — Restaurant in Jalisco

Happened upon this lovely café quite by accident. It has become one of my favorite restaurants in Tonala. Situated on a very pretty street away from traffic and busy markets. It provides a quiet respite.

My travelling companion had the Avacado toast with one egg and I had the special Mushroom and Spinach Omelette. Both were very good.

The decor is superb. Tables, chairs, menus, walls are decorated with Van Gogh's Starry Starry Night. There are lovely crafts using the same theme to purchase. As a fan of Van Gogh I was in heaven.

Honestly, the service was fantastic. I was walked through the menu easily and was attended too very easily. They have fast Wi-Fi which was useful because I was working from the cafe.

Most importantly my cappuccino frappe was out of this world. It had clotted cream on top which was rare and the coffee taste itself was strong but light ! Absolutely fantastic, 5/5.

Me incomoda dar una mala crítica, pero es importante para hacer que los buenos negocios puedan crecer. LUKA CAFÉ es un lugar original que ofrece una experiencia con toque artístico y una estancia placentera. Iniciando con las bebidas, tienen buena presentación, son muy ricas y bien servidas. Nada que decir del servicio, amables y rápidos. Solo hay algo que me parece muy triste y hace que gente como yo no quiera volver, ¡¡¡LA COMIDA!!!

Se supone que vas a un lugar ¡A COMER, NO A DEGUSTAR! Aborrezco los lugares donde las porciones son MISERABLES. Tres enchiladas pequeñas no sirven para ir a quitarte el hambre, sin huarnicion ni algo que lo acompañe, más que un adorno de lechuga, ademas del pollo reseco y contado. Un burrito de ARRACHERA bañado, que tenía más morrón que carne, UNA BURLA. No sean fijados ni tacaños en las porciones de la comida. Cobren lo que sea que creen que cuestan sus platillos, pero no se dejen ver como un lugar pichicato, solo demuestran escasez. NO SON UN RESTAURANTE GOURMET, NO SE PASEN.
