We had breakfast at this quaint little Mexican restaurant down the end of the alleyway. My wife and I had the bacon and eggs with pancakes and our friends had different omelettes with beans. The service was superb and price was less than any restaurant that we’ve eaten at in Mexico. They were also very helpful in pointing us in the direction of where to find what we were shopping for. Great place we’ll definitely go back next time we’re in Tonala.

Acudí con mi esposa por segunda ocasión a este lugar, motivado por lo que según yo fue una buena experiencia la primera vez que fuimos. Sin embargo, la realidad superó a los recuerdos. En esta ocasión, pude constatar que el servicio es malo, la calidad de la comida es regular, y la atención es pésima. Consumimos la comida del día cuya porción es escasa, el arroz carente de sabor y la carne dura. Pero la gota que derramó el vaso, fue cuando al pedir los totopos y salsa que el menú explícitamente dice que están incluidos en la comida del día, la mesera candorosamente nos dijo simplemente que se les acabaron, pero que cuando llegaron unos clientes norteamericanos, milagrosamente aparecieron, lo cual nos pareció de muy mal gusto. Si quieren evitarse un disgusto, recomiendo fuertemente no ir a este mal llamado restaurante, que no cumple ni siquiera con la calidad de una fonda.

bonito el lugar pero servicio pésimo, una hora tardaron en traernos los platillos y mucha gente no había, se escuadrón diciendo que unas señoras se estaban cambie y cambie de mesa y eso los retraso aunque igual le dije a la mesera que que tenia que ver eso con cocina? la comida no sabe rica, frijoles sin sal las salsas de las enchiladas sin sabor etc.... que lastima que la nueva administración NO sepa administrar, mi familia y yo solíamos acudir constantemente y de la pandemia para acá habíamos dejado de acudir hasta el día de ayer, para no regresar jamás Ahh si, además, pedimos tortillas 2 veces y jamás las llevaron, los platillos así sin tortillas fueron

Lovely quaint restaurant definitely worth a visit. Open for breakfast. Closes about 5 PM. Rustic. Excellent value. Lovely atmosphere. Quiet. Cool. Great food with generous portions. Very reasonable prices. Good and friendly service. We enjoyed omelettes, fruit salad with yogurt, tortilla soup, and a few other menu items over several meals. All were very tasty. My only reservation is the bathrooms are a disaster! Knowing this I would still go back. It is definitely one of "must-go-to"...

This is our favorite place to eat lunch in Tonalá. It's one street over from the main market and while it's small, they're always able to accommodate our group. We really enjoy the food here and have visited several times. All of the food is delicious! You can order alcoholic beverages for lunch (the piña coladas are always good). I highly recommend...
