Martins — Restaurant in Jalisco

There were alot of good reviews so we decided to try Martin's tonight with our friends. The food was OK but the service was a bit strange. The staff come and go efficiently but the theatrics around the Ceaser salad being made at the table and the flaming shrimp being cooked by the owner sort of changes the pace of the meal to be slow and not well timed. Out of the group of four of us, my meal never arrived so when my friends were finished eating their meals I asked them to cancel my order. The ambiance was very nice Martin was very attentive as was the rest of his staff the music was very good.... But I was very disappointed in the wait for our food. We had reservations when we arrived there was one other table before us. After our order was taken more people arrived. We waited for over two hours for our food to arrive. The table of five who came in much later than us received their food before we did. And after waiting two hours for our dinner that never did come we left never to return again I might add. First have to say I eat here all the time, but I want to get the bad out of the way right away. Expect to spend some time here waiting for your food. If you are a party more than 2, you may not all get your food at the same time. In my opinion the atmosphere and the food more than make up for it. So if you get your knickers in a twist about the small stuff like that, go somewhere else for more mediocre food but speedy service.
