Wow! I don’t know what to say!! I CAUTION ALL WOMEN TRAVELERS! This waiter just came to my room yelling at me. I have never felt so disrespected in my life!! I checked into conchas China which is apparently separate from this restaurant. I sat down to order dinner and The server only asked what room I was in so I gave him the room #. The hotel and restaurant are directly connected. Dinner was good but when he brought the bill it ONLY gave the option to charge the room. Knowing the hotel had my card on file I completed the receipt providing name and room number. At 9 pm at night (2 hours later) I was woken out of my sleep from the waiter knocking. When I answered the door, the waiter was Yelling and going off about me not being in their hotel…. Wait, what?? Half asleep I struggled to figure out that there are two hotels. No problem, my mistake. I will gladly satisfy the bill. He went on yelling at me saying he needed pesos but I didn’t have enough pesos to cover the bill. But I kept offering to pay with a card. After telling me “No” twice, that I had to pay in pesos he finally agreed on the 3rd request to let me follow him to the restaurant to pay the bill with my card. At the restaurant while paying, he continued to talk to me like a dog! The lady in the booth just kept laughing. I stood there half asleep, disoriented, confused and most of all embarrassed. Once the bill was paid, he said “you didn’t leave a tip” I explained I most certainly did! And referred to the bill. Once he was caught in his lie, He went on to explain that I said I would give him extra. I never said that. But I ended up giving him my last 200 pesos out of embarrassment and confusion. And yet he still wasn’t done… as I was trying to walk away. He kept yelling “Don’t you ever do that again” several times. I looked at him and said, I don’t know what I did. I am sure he would have never spoke to me like this had there been a man with me but he felt real confident talking to me like trash!! I won’t be returning to this place of business AND I recommend if anyone else goes whatever you do…. DO NOT CHARGE THE ROOM! Careful of the verbally...
Read moreI was discriminated at this restaurant for being dark skin color and mistaken for locals. I just had lunch at this restaurant. I m American citizen Latino background. . The host of the restaurant came to the table and rudely asked me for the table “ I need the table” “hurry” he practically asked us to leave so he can give the table to someone else. The restaurant had about 6 empty tables at the same time. We had lunch, margaritas, food, mineral water. We didn’t know the way to the beach and we ask for directions to go to the beach to another older looking bartender he sent us to get lost in the rocks by the beach with a dead end. The waiters didn’t let us go through the restaurant to get our Uber back to the hotel instead he send us to go few blocks up the hill in a full circle to ended up at the front door of this racist restaurant. The waiter stuff look like the hate their job, unless you give them cash in their hands, the food is mediocre and regardless of how bad the food is, I will never go back to a place where they treated us as lesser human being for not being white enough. I complained, tried multiple times to speak to the manager but every time I call they hang up on me. There are many good restaurants in Puerto Vallarta don’t waste your time or money here. They treated us this way because they thought we were locals. Horrible and excusable experience to be discriminated for being...
Read moreFirst of all, the location can't be beat. The restaurant sits right on the water as you can see from the pictures.
The service is exquisite. Spanish and English spoken. Very friendly staff.
Perhaps because we ordered alcoholic beverages (I ordered the passionfruit margarita and my friend ordered the Iguana, a white tequila/lime/basil/simple syrup cocktail), we received complimentary chips and salsa (red and green) which tasted housemade. A pitcher of sweet limonada was ordered. Very refreshing.
I ordered the crab enchiladas and it was fresh and savory. Great sauce, real crabmeat. Incredible. Great value for the quality. My portion was 456 pesos (at the time of writing $23 USD). They accept credit card and cash.
My friend ordered the shrimp fajitas which he thought were fantastic (he is of Mexican descent and understands authentic Mexican cuisine). Came with a side of refried black beans and fresh guacamole. His wife ordered the avocado toast which was a healthy portion. The bread was a thick slice of a sweet-type bread. Had layers including avocado, tomato, a citrus, field lettuce mix. Bright. Clean. Great option for the vegetarian (as she is).
A hidden gem. Romantic. Great view for sunsets. Went here for lunch. The breakfast menu sounds...
