I was yearning for a good glass of white wine with dinner and my wife discovered this gem just a few minutes drive from Merida Centro. This unique bistro was well worth the trip.
The restaurant is a unique concept with an attractive wine store that specializes in wines, beers and liquors from Mexico. You can select a bottle of wine and enjoy it with a delicious dinner or order by the glass, which we did. After we mentioned that we have been disappointed by most Mexican wines, especially the whites, the proprietor, Damien, introduced us to a couple of delicious wines that we enjoyed so much that we bought bottles to take home.
Dinner was equally enjoyable. A couscous salad with layers of balanced flavor and perfectly cooked sea bass with tasty accompaniments. The menu is a refreshing change from many of the local menus and ranges from apps and sandwiches like beef, crab and veggie burgers to full dinner options.
The restaurant is attractive, comfortable and offers inside and outside seating. We are looking forward to our next visit.

The menu has been expanded and offers more options now from light bites to full meals. There is sometimes music on the outside patio. We have also been buying bottles of wine at the attached wine and spirit shop. Anonima is a wonderful addition to the Merida...

They carry Mexican wines and of great quality. My latest visit, my friend and I enjoyed two different bottles.

Next time, I want to enjoy their outdoor seating. Sorry! I was in the moment, so didn't get...

Just make reservations for the Jazz as it is only on the terrace and sells out quickly. The kitchen will accommodate all diets from vegan to carnivore and all in...
