Margo-Amalia Venue — Restaurant in Mérida

After enjoying all the wonderful Merida restaurants over the past ten years we have been wintering here, Margo Amalia is now our absolute favourite. From the breakfast eggs benny, the fresh baked postres, the most incredible cheesecake you will ever have and the Greek chicken breasts the kitchen is superb. We also love the history since the restaurant is in the remodeled house of their grandparents and the décor is stunning. Not large so make a reservation so as not to be disappointed. Each of the several times we ate there this trip, Asgard was our waiter. He is a delight with a modicum of English and he seemed to really enjoy describing the dishes to us. We will be going back many times when we return to Merida...

The place is good for young girl, too fancy, the food tasteless, wear combinations, the dry bread is common here, or with sugar, nothing special, the only one that you can eat without problems are eggs but you are in Mexico and you don't want to eat just a fancy eggs, eat it at home.

One week after, I dicided to give them a second chance, know they really try to do something different, but in this case I 'm filling sick, I throw up all my breakfast, I ate Mexican barbecue tacos, I couldn't eat all of them just 2, the meat was too dry, and a coke just that and now after a few minutes I started to get sick, just I did the necessary for feel better and know I don't want to...

Desde que llegamos se siente un ambiente relajado, se puede entrar sin reserva pero es posible que debas esperar un poco, el personal de la entrada muy amable y nos pasaron 5 minutos posterior a nuestra llegada.

El mesero Asgard muy amable y muy atento con sus recomendaciones en cuestión de platillos.

El tiempo de preparación de los alimentos fue rápido a pesar de tener evento en la parte de arriba

Como opinión :

Plato de fruta de temporada la porción es buena como para dos personas en lo que se esperan los demás alimentos, el sabor es fresco y toda la fruta bastante jugosa, (granola, yoghurt y miel se colocan a parte para agregar al gusto) 5/5

Latte y te matcha de buen tamaño, temperatura adecuada y buen sabor 5/5

Croissant de nuez con relleno de mantequilla, un pan bastante rico, no es tan cargado como pareciera y se disfruta con el buen café 5/5

Oreja glaseada con pistaches, nada fuera de lo común, es rica pero recomendaríamos más el croissant 3/5

Como plato fuerte el Khachapuri con queso es la opción, el mesero nos ayudó a su preparación y en verdad que es un plato bastante rico, el sabor de los champiñones le da un toque especial, acompañado con sus 2 salsas (macha y habanero) complementan al platillo 5/5

La cacerola Margo - Amalia destaca por sus huevos pochados con una preparación exquisita, las alubias bastante ricas acompañada de la salsa de tomate 4/5

Como opinión final le damos al restaurante 5...
