One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Merida. This place is amazing. The staff is super attentive, the decour is gorgeous, place is extremely clean, and the food is top quality. All the seafood is very fresh and it shows in the taste and quality.
Update: Unfortunately I have to update my review. While I still like this restaurant, there are some disappointments. I had the grilled octopus - delicious and a must try. I also had the spaghetti alle vongole - total let down. First off, the clams are TINY no real clam meat. We all know traditional vongole has lots of clam meat. This one has 0. The clams are just for decoration. On top of that they automatically put cheese on this dish. It is basic knowledge that seafood Italian dishes NEVER have cheese added. This is a major no no. The fact they added it without asking me was extremely in poor taste. The pasta was a total rip off. You cannot charge these prices and not honor an authentic traditional dish properly and the clam situation is just flat out shameful. I definitely felt taken advantage of. I was unable to eat the pasta, voiced my dislike and they did not offer to make it again without cheese or take it off the check. They sat there and watched me pay for a pasta dish they saw I could not eat. Please do better. I definitely felt taken...

I am so tried of trying to take my wife out for a special occasion only to find we can't have a conversation because children are allowed to run all over the place yelling, screaming or crying. Or the dreaded table of guys completely drunk yelling the same story for the second or third time. We completely stopped going to a restaurant we really liked after not being able to hear anything other than the obscene stories from the group of loud, drunk men at the table next to us for the third time. You'd think the manager would have enough brain cells firing that he could at least move them to a table in corner away from other dinners. I realize drinks bring in a high profit % in most places but is it so high you'd being to lose all your other business?
I can only hope Cervo doesn't end up being a playground for 3 and 4 year Olds while their parents act like they can't hear them. Or tables of grown men begin acting like 3 and 4 years olds due to alcohol consumption.
But tonight, our first visit, was...
Read moreWent here tonight with my girlfriend and the experience was terrible. The place is decorated nicely and has a good vibe and great potential but all that is ruined by the untrained staff, an inaccurate menu descriptions, slow inattentive service, and zero attention to detail. I ordered the oysters which we the size of the smallest coins in currency today. Then we ordered the Wagyu carpaccio with truffles. That tuned out to be beef tartare and had zero truffles. While watching our drinks empty we had to wave someone down to order another drink. After that we ordered the octopus for two with roasted cauliflower and smashed peas. Instead we received undercooked octopus with plain roasted potatoes. This place has a lot of issues to work out so I won’t be going back here...
